After visiting the castle of Prangins, we walked to Nyon. We followed the touristic walk through the city. I personally loved the tour. At the Roman Columns you had an amazing view over the lake and the mountains. I recomand it. The roman statue was moved, there will be a replica.

There isn’t much there but it’s worth the stroll as it’s only a couple of minutes on from Nyon Castle, it’s free and you get more of the amazing views over the lake towards the mountains. The carvings underneath the arch are in amazing condition. Don’t forget to walk back down and round and look at the huge arch underneath.

A short walk from the Chateau and Roman Museum, the columns bring you to an open square the overlooks the lake. On a day with great weather, this would certainly be a great place to sit and relax, take in the sights of Lac Leman! These *must* be paired with the Roman Museum which provides great context to Nyon's Roman history and how these columns were discovered.

There is a Roman Museum near these columns overlooking the sea. It was great to see these columns and the museum in the same day. Go on a sunny day and the columns are so beautiful with the blue sky and Lake Geneva in the back ground.

Located in Nyon, esplanade des marronniers, the Roman columns bear witness of the little harbor since 1958 but were in Nyon (Niviodunum) since 45 BC and Julius Caesar. The view is beautiful, overlooking the lake and the Alps. The garden nearby is very pretty as well.
During the Summer, free concerts every Sunday mornings.

The view from there was really amazing, also the sky behind the columns when you look up. It's really worth to visit this place. In front there are so beautiful gardens which you can see also.

Great reminder and memories from that time 2,000 years ago. Columns moved from original spot though, and there could be more history around them.

Walking from the center of the old town, sit by the roman columns and look at the lake, it is very relaxing. It is quiet up there...Locals have lunch with a good sandwich or a coffee. There is shade and benches. Then walk down the lake through the garden. A perfect relaxing time, with a view on the opposite French side of the lake and the mountains.

A simple 5-10 minute walk from the castle allows you to see the lake from a different angle and if the air is not too hazy, you see the Geneva Jet d'eau.
Not much to visit but a superb sight. The columns were placed here in 1958.
