Busloads of people come to take photos of themselves or their friends with Charlie, who is given a fresh rose to hold every day. He stands in front of the Alimentarium food museum which has pleasant shady gardens full of fruit, vegetables and herbs.
As the fork near the statue of charlie chaplin, it is not about them it is about the amazing view of the lake of geneva and the mountains, breathtaking view. Not s great statue.. just relax take a deep breath and watch the view.

Just to add - depending on your physical abilities, you could walk from Montreux to Vevey in about 45 minutes. It is a beautiful walk along the coast.
Have a great trip!

Charlie Chaplin statue in Leicester Square (26 Replies)
As we wander throughout a city, we like to see interesting/unique statues, etc .... So, with that in mind there was a statue of Charlie Chaplin in Leicester Square but I read that it was removed a year ago? I am not able to ascertain if it was put back.... can someone tell me if it is or isn't? Thanks
