Healing Sound of Nature

The lake is simply amazing. I have visited it on Saturday at 8am to be able to enjoy the quite moment. It’s a pity it’s fenced so you really need to pay entrance if you want to fully enjoy the walk. There were already few people in the restaurant having breakfast and swimming ...
However by the time I was walking back from the Swiss Grand Canyon the place around noon was really full and super loud.

If you enjoy peaceful moments in nature that’s for sure not a good time to go. I for sure would recommend any other day than weekend 💕

Check YouTube video of HSN Healing Sound of Nature with views on the lake recorded in the morning with little fog over water:

One of the best lakes in Switzerland, very beautiful and an ideal place to spend time with family, friends or even alone. They charge you an entrance fee from one side of the lake, if you have the Guest card ( the one that you receive from your hotel) then the rates get really subsidised. If you are adventurous you can access the Lake from the other side, but with no real access to the beach unless you swim across the lake. But many adventures do! However, you have to exit the same way. Use the Cauma See lift, in case you don't want to walk all the way. We did both, walking and with the lift. No charges for the lift. Inside there a very good restaurant, with a takeaway too. Lots of stuff to rent. We rented a paddleboat and it was a great experience with the family, lazily paddling across the Lake. The lake is a Swimmer's delight. There is an island in the middle of the lake. A must-see must do place.

There's a whole walled-off region where you have to pay to get in and you can swim in the lake. We didn't expect that so didn't get in there.

Walk around the lake is free and beautiful. Nice location also, it's a very short walk from the Flims Waldhaus town area.

I would only recommend going there if you're going to spend the whole day in order to justify the entrance fee. We didn't pay, we walked to the Il Spir Viewing Platform - a one and half our walk but worth it.

We had paid 5chf at the lake per person to go to the restaurant (it was re-imbursed when we bought food), the restaurant is not that good - mainly fast food so nothing special.

Must visit lake when you’re in Flims or Grisons !!!
To go there there’s lift 5-10mins walk from parking area. Or you can walk to the lake and it takes around 20 mins.
Entry ticket is 5CHF to access it in short period / only access to restaurant or 18CHF to access all lake areas

Nested near Flims it is an easy walk from the parking place to the lake. You can either walk down the forest or take the cable car (which is nice for the view). Both take you less than 30 minutes. Better be early there (latest 9 am) to avoid the crowd around lunchtime). You can walk around the lake and even swim in the lake (max. 29 C in Summer). Crystal clear, turquoise water.
There is a restaurant (self-service) that serves basic but good food.

A definite must on your list if you are in the Flims / Laax area. Really picturesque lake, that wasn’t too busy when we visited. Really lucky to get nice weather for the time of year, and even though the water was a bit cold, it felt fine once out because of the sun.

The walk down from the parking area is fairly easy, not too steep. Coming back up though could be a challenge for some, so would recommend using the free lift service if you think you’d struggle.

Facilities like the WC are good. Plenty of them, clean and abiding by covid 19 rules.
You could probably spend the whole day here, but we broke it up by doing the trail through the forest to the viewing platform il spur which gives you great views of the gorge.

The lake itself is really beautiful and worthy anytime to visit it.
The lake is "protected" from visiting for free. There was long queue in front of the ticket entrance, in order to get in. Although it's controlled with number of guests, it's still full.
It's nevertheless a nice spot, still.

Really a lovely lake with an amazing Caribbean color, but completely overrated. It was jot nearly as amazing as I was expecting. Especially when you find out you have to pay 18 CHF to go in and see it. Otherwise you are left outside of it looking through a fence. Pretty sad for Swiss standards. Unfortunately it seems to be a tourist trap. I was shocked. I have never been to any other lake where you have to pay to see it. But in Flims there is Cauma and Cresta, both require entrance fees. They must make a lot of money off of that!

We came after a short walk from Flims to this lovely mountain lake.

Bright colors and outstanding views made our stay very relaxing.
