Lovely walk around the lake the best part is the cafe! Lovely freindly people! Best burger I’ve ever had!! Will definitely be going back! If you go there try there hot chocolates with cream and flake you won’t be disappointed!!

This a review of the caravan cafe, not the country park (although that is fine). In these times of lockdown, the cafe is a wonderful sight for all of us unable to do much else but walk around the park. The staff are helpful and provide super refreshments at a sensible price .Big thanks to them for staying open. Try a Belgian waffle, chips with curry sauce, bratwurst and onions in a roll, or just a hot chocolate !…

I have never met two such rude girls in customer service. Our experience with them ruined a lovely walk in a lovely place. They also didn’t give us half of our order after we had paid for it and claimed that we didn’t order it. Go to the country park, don’t bother with the burger van unless their awful attitude gets the sack- take your own food!…

I enjoyed walking around the lakes, but was a little disappointed. I somehow expected it to be more nature. You can hear the traffic most of the way around and there are many housing developments. If you're in the area and enjoy walking, I would recommend visiting, but don't come from further afield like us. Parking is only £1.20 for 4 hours, which can be paid with coins or online. We enjoyed the milkshakes from the cafe even if they were a bit overpriced. Unfortunately the toilets were dirty and there was no toilet paper. …
