We could see a lots of different groups of aquatic birds in their natural habitat, including flamingos, we were really lucky! I guess it's difficult to foresee when the birds are near the observatories, but when it happens, you can spend the whole day there!
The paths are pleasent and easy. At the entrance you can find a restaurant and toilets.

The visit is organized on two routes: one on wooden walkways leads to the aquarium (small but very interesting!), the other goes into the lagoon to an observation point (flamingos and other birds). Both paths are shaded. Great experience for children too!

It is always pleasant to take a walk in the reserve and lose yourself in looking at the various animals that populate it. Well kept. Relaxing afternoon.

And after visiting the Grado lagoon, we went to Marano to get a further point of view. We were very satisfied and if we can say we appreciated this portion of the lagoon more due to the richness of the fauna that we observed up close. The nature reserve, made up of a former fishing valley and some arable land, is easily accessible as, unlike the mouth of the Stella, which can only be visited by water, it is located on the edge of the town of Marano. It is possible to follow two routes that allow you to immerse yourself in the wonderful world of the swamp and its rich biological heritage. We are not experts and, with great difficulty, we tried to recognize the various species of birds that populate and animate the reserve. We only recognized the mallards, the black-winged stilt and the coots. But when we spotted a large flock of flamingos not far from our eyes, we were amazed. What a show!!! We watched for a long time as these elegant birds opened their wings together and then simultaneously took flight. We returned for two consecutive days and we certainly weren't bored. And then in addition to the huts intended for the observation of avifauna and the educational space, a prehistoric area of environmental interaction inspired by the findings of the area from the Neolithic to the Metal Age, it is also possible to visit the aquarium, a further way to immerse yourself in the lagoon to discover of the different organisms that populate this suggestive brackish water environment. Inside the reserve you can also have lunch, and it's quite good. The cost of the ticket is 3.50 euros per person and, believe us, it's worth every penny!!!

The environment is very nice and nice. The flaw is that they do not accept credit cards for tickets, gadgets and drinks bars. In a municipality, where ATMs are scarce, it is not the best.

E' possibile visitarla in bici? Manuele.
