Nice refuge, well kept and very clean, with a beautiful view. It can be reached after an undemanding walk of about 1 hour, suitable even for the less fit. From there you can continue along various itineraries, more or less demanding.
If you are in the area it is worth a visit.

Refuge from which you can enjoy breathtaking views. We started from the Monte Croce pass, the path is of medium difficulty, let's say it was not really a walk. Much easier the path starting from Rifugio Lunelli, about an hour walk.

After hiking uphill for 1 hour 45 minutes we had the most incredible views. Wear good boots. Walking sticks helpful but not essential. In September no problem with crowds or water on the trails. Don’t miss this excellent hike. Drive from Podola and Park at the rifugio Lunelli.

Food is ok and a little expensive but made up for by the amazing views. Worth going up on the ski lifts even if you are not skiing to see the views. I guess they have to transfer everything up to the top of a mountain which is why it is little pricey. Homemade pasta ragu is good made with wild venison.

This is a lovely place to stay or visit for a day. The walk up is lovely and not to difficult. Lots of children were walking up with families for the day trip. The walk is beautiful and the views spectacular. Food and drinks are fantastic. Well worth enjoying such a beatufil location.

After an undemanding walk you arrive at the Berti refuge... what can I say!!! An enchanting view and a warm and welcoming place. We ate typical dishes from the area, all very good. The helpful and competent staff!! It is worth reaching this peak. Also ideal for trekking novices.

Passata Padola in direzione Dobbiaco, dopo 2 km circa girare a sinistra in via Valgrande (indicazioni Rifugio Berti/rifugio Lunelli), dopo circa 1 km trovi il parcheggio gratuito ed in circa 1:30' arrivi al rifugio Berti.
