If you want to spend a day visiting from Lindau St. Gallen in Schweiz and Bregenz in Austria, a way to do it is not by ship but by train... much cheaper and faster. You go to the railway station in Lindau and ask for a one day travel card in Yone 1. It costs only 18 euros, and it is valid 24 hours in this zone, anywhere, by train, with as much stops as you wish. Take the fast train (Euro city) around 9 oclock to St. Gallen, it takes 50 minutes to go there. Visit the main attractions, take an afternoon train to Bregenz Austria, the journey takes about 35-40 minutes. Here you can go up to the mountain by cable car (12 euro) to 1062 m, then stroll along the lake shore, visit the famous theatre on lake. Take an evening train to Lindau back, journey that would take 12 minutes only. so you have a lot to see, travel in 3 countries, and only for 18 euros !!!

We booked cor the 1pm sailing. Sitting on the port side downstairs gave us an excellent view as you travel clockwise around the lake. It was much cooler down there, aided by a big fan. People who initially fought get upstairs soon came down as it was much too hot up there. The lady at the booking kiosk suggested we take an English translation of the commentary which was very useful and gave lots of information. The bar is well stocked and.not over priced and there was a good choice.of snacks for those who wanted them. Staff were very friendly. A lovely afternoon spent on the water with spectacular views. Would definitely recommend.

This was a good length trip (1½ hours) down to the Bregenzer Bucht (Bregenz Bay) and back again. The boat is laid out like a café with table service, so you can snack and drink while you take in the scenery. The mountains and lake combo is really stunning and it's worth the trip to see the Seebühne (Lakeside stage) from the water.

The boat ride was nice, but the narration told very little. It was a hot sunny day, the breeze was cooled us off. Food and beverages, though rather limited, were reasonably priced. The boat fare was less so.
This cruise is a filler activity for those who either do not have a car, or have been to Lake Constance often. In other words, there are far more interesting and beautiful things to see and do.

We took the 1.5 hr tour in spite of it raining, but it was a mistake. Could not see a lot in the haze/fog. If it had been a nice day I would rate very good.
In the rain storm the wind kicked up so it got slightlly rough, but only if you are very sensitive would it be a problem.
One issue is narration is ONLY GERMAN. They do give a written handout, but when I read it I could not undersfand where we were at the time.
