I have been to Cochem in the past, but I was never able to squeeze in a visit the Senfmuehle. I made sure that I made the time on this visit. We did not go on the available tour - must sampled some interesting mustard. The gentleman helping us was very friendly and encouraged us to try whatever we wanted.... More

We stumbled upon this attraction by accident, but what a find! The gentleman running this shop was wonderful. He encouraged us to try samples of everything they offered. Needless to say, we bought a ton of mustard that afternoon. If you love mustard you will love this place.

We were able to walk to the little museum from where our river cruise docked. At first the many different kinds of mustard was a little intimidating, but after sampling several of them. I bought the basic original mustard. Now I need to find a place on Amazon where I can buy more!!!

There are so many narrow, cobblestone lanes to explore in Cochem, and the buildings are fascinating to behold. Great shops and eateries.

The wide array of shopping and restaurants here is very good. There's so many shops that you want to stop inside and explore. The buildings are charming and the people-watching is fun. If I had more time I would have explored it all!

This historical museum documents the history of mustard from 1600 B.C. to today. The miller shows the traditional way mustard was made in the previous centuries. It was fascinating. Only negative was that there was no english guide.

This neat little mustard mill is just across the bridge and is an easy 5 min walk from the Tourism office. It's open on Sundays, which is a plus. You can sample the 9 flavors of mustards, and there is also a pamphlet in English which explains them as well. The one guy was super friendly but knew limited English,... More

These bells ring every couple hours. We came here for the Christmas market. Some live hens in an area for kids to feed. Storyteller set up seating by the rathaus. Great bakery on the edge of the square. Enjoyed dinner at Ratskeller.

Lots of lovely places to have a hot chocolate and cake. Some interesting shops but make sure you look up and around at the architecture.
