We stopped here during a bicycle trip along the Mosel and Rhine Rivers. AT first I thought this would be just another tourist trap, but I was wrong. In addition to the many wines, apparently they make their own peach wine, there are hundreds of liquors. I am drinking as I write this the cappuccino liquor with iced coffee.YUM! Better than Godiva or any other coffee flavored liqueur available in the US.I also purchased a sampler of other liqueurs to be given as gifts to those back home, but I couldn't bring myself to part with them and so consumed them myself. I just wished these fine alcoholic beverages were available here in the US. The sales people there were very patient and helpful and if I could have brought more home with me on the plane I would have. Don't miss a side trip to WaJo (as they call it) while anywhere near Cochem!

Our guide suggested this wine shop to buy preserves and jams as well. A very nice large wine shop but unfortunately everything was in German and the staff were busy with a number of other customers so we left.

We stumbled over this store and didn't know what to expect since we are not really white Mosel wine afficionados, rather prefer full bodied reds. But the staff was helpful and very funny/friendly, we had an excellent educational visit! Thanks also for introducing us to two excellent red wines of the Oster winery: The Cuvée Primus Inter Pares and the Cuvée 1891. Delcious! Next year we'll come back and visit the cellar in Ediger.

We where greeted by a lady that's speaks many languages and has a lot of wine knowledge to share. She offered us to taste their wines.

They have over twenty different wines, in several qualities. We really enjoyed the cuvees and the eiswein.

In the end we bought several boxes of their better wines, which we certainly will enjoy at home
