You'll find the facility surrounded by woods and small communities in the middle of Germany. The next autobahn (A33) is about 17mls, train station (Altenbeken) 8mls and Airport (Paderborn) 23mls away. There are a few good restaurants and hotels around, f.ex. "Germanenhof".

The whole facility is secured by fences and security personnel, so It can be used for secret testing by the industry. If you passed the gate, you feels like in the entrance of a country club ..... but then you see the "mouse trap": a small part of the track, but with 26 grade down and on the other side 21 grade up = wow!

After a magnificent drive trough a tree alley and different halls, I've reached the "East Slope Building". There is the check-in and their restaurant "Turn One".

The check-in by very professional and friendly staff of the Bilster Berg Team was quick 'n easy. The event starts with a delicious breakfast buffet in the restaurant which offers an awesome view to the track, the pitlane and the paddock.

I've switched over my car to one of the four pit buildings, the first one called "C14". After a technical check, we get a security briefing about driving on a racetrack. 15min later i leave the pitlane to the track .... and then the adventure begins:

WHAT A TRACK: 4.2 kilometers (2.6 miles) of up and down, right to left, curves and straights with compressions ...... all secured by road support: men with flags and electronical signs. After the event I hear about 25+ cams who checks every feet of the track = wow! Overall = It feels like the short version of the green hell - a one of a kind, not only in germany!

The whole facility is extreme clean: restrooms and showers, landscape = all looks very good and modern!

The Restaurant offers tasty food options, but is not permanent open, served by friendly and well known waiters/waitresses.

Not only if you're a racetrack or car fanatic - this Bilster Berg Drive Resort is a must-have-see for everyone! You've to check their website first for driving events ("Trackdays"), because otherwise it's not easy to get entrance.

Amazing track. The name "german rollercoaster" is really at his place. Also beautifull surroundings and accomodation. Pitty for the electrical problems, serious shortage for an event with 120 motorcycles (need power for tyrewarmers). For petrolheads a must do track!!!
