This place is ridiculously good value for something to do. The view of beautiful Luneburg is unmatchable and the displays on the way up are very interesting. The place is nicely maintained and the service is good. Worth the 4 euros.

This tower gives you magnificent views of the city. You can take the elevator to the 8th floor for $4.50 euros[ well worth the price]. This is very close to the train station and visiting the Wasserturm is a great way to conclude a visit...More

A visit to the water tower is a must. Not only because of the great view but also because of the many information and explanations about the water balance of Lüneburg.

Great views of the city and a good climb to the top (you can take the elevator but why?). One important note about the displays: they are very interesting but are mostly all in German only (the cashier spoke no English either). There is precious...More

I love Wasserturms... and Germany is just the perfect country to visit these wonderful buildings. This one in Luneburg is very well preserved and you can go up to the top. Beautiful and amazing!

Frankly, the views are not so good. Both the angle and very packed architecture are the reasons that virtually no landmark is clearly visible. One can appreciate a coherent town plan and selection of building materials. It is the fact that one might learn a...More
