During corona period, there would be only one guided tour every two weeks. Without reservation, you are not allowed to visit. Luckily we had a guided tour just for two of us. The guide has shared lots of interesting information about Justus Liebig and explained it extremely well. Over there, we had chance to look back the histories of Justus Liebig, the building, laboratories of Liebig and so on. It’s absolutely worth it to spend 1 hour here.

Liebig-Museum is a museum dedicated to Justus von Liebig (1803-1873), a chemist who made major contribution on agriculture and biochemistry. He is also considered as the founder of organic chemistry. Main Liebig's contributions on agriculture are his formula of anorganic fertilizer, the effect of certain minerals on plant and the Law of Minimum.
The museum represent the Liebig's laboratory, his work room and his life. The interesting feature of the labs is Liebig combine the modern labs for research purpose as well as education. This education oriented lab produced great innovation of fertilizer and meat processing. Thus, Liebig was one of the greatest chemistry inventor as well as teacher

Liebig-Museum is representing life and work of Justus Liebig who made an impact on modern agriculture, nutrition and organic chemistry. He published 700 articles, 65 books and taught many future scientists who impacted to majority of chemistry Nobel prices in early 20th century. The museum building was his laboratory, teaching hall and home. The museum is equipped similarly to Liebig's time. The museum has also English notes for the exhibition. An interesting place for people in life sciences or agricultural science.

I was recommended this museum by a friend and I am so grateful for that! The place is inspiring to say the least. Very well maintained and you get a real glimpse of the development of chemistry and science during the 1840s. All the works of Justus Liebig is clearly explained including the Liebig barrel and the condensors of course. It is really to be appreciated that the way the explanations are displayed, for any person with some background in science, the whole picture unfolds in front of you! Not to miss the awesome feeling that persons like Erlenmeyer and Kekule and others have used the lab and the classroom here during their life time! There are explanations in each of the rooms in English as well and so unlike some of the other museums, it's a pleasure to visit this place for non German speakers as well.

gives a great review of the life and work from Justus von Liebig in his years in Gießen as a professor in chemical sciences. shows some of excitibg experiments with good effects and in a funny but also serious style. Later you will get a small giudance through the very interesting small museum from specialists.
