This was an unexpected thing to find near Neuschwanstein castle. We arrived at the castle base via bus. Tried to get tour tickets for the castle, but nothing was available until 2:30. So with 4 hours to kill, we walked to the Bob Sleds. It...More

A blast, so easy to find and a fun race against each other. Great for families and kids! Set at the base of the mountain in tegelberg right next to the gondola.

Spent a couple of hours here when we stayed in the area with friends during a tour down to Italy. The Toboggan run is really great fun! It only cost 3.70 a go which I think is amazing value. The ride lasts about 6 or...More

Really good fun and suitable for all ages. Takes a little while to get to the top which is maybe just me being impatient. Personally I don't know whether I would do the 6 go ticket as the slow travel to the top might feel...More

I took the lift up the mountain and walked down to the parking lot. You can see the castle both on the lift and on the way down. The view from the top is even better. It takes around two hours to walk down in...More

Lots to do here. We stopped to let our kids do the slide. Cost 25 euro for 12 slides. Not too bad. The ticket line was long though but went pretty quickly. If they posted prices better people could decide what they wanted while standing...More

We went up and down with the cable car because of the view over the castle Neuschwanstein. We didn't visit the castle because of the crowds. But at the end I enjoyed the view from the top more then the view over the caste!

If you're wanting to ride the shiny, silver luge, it's called Die Sommerrodelbahn (or the summer toboggan run), so I wouldn't expect it to be open in the winter. However, when I looked in the winter section of... More

My husband and I will be visiting Neuschwanstein in October and wanted to do the Tegelberg luge and Cable car while there. We will have a rental car. I looked at the website, but seeing as my German is non-existent, I have no idea if it will even be open while we are there. Can anyone help? Looking for opening times, prices, etc... Also best way to get there. Is it better to go before or after the castles? And is driving or hiking better? Will take any and all advice since this is our first trip to the area! Thanks!!
