An absolute must on a clear day. You can go for a walk around the mountain once at the top with well marked out paths ways. We spent a good hour sat watching the paraglider jump from the mountain summit. the views are magnificent of the villages below and the two castles on adjacent mountains. There are two cafeterias the... More

We caught a cable car to the submit of Tegelberg and hiked all the way down. Yep. All 1880m of it. It was a chilly morning but all that walking was invigorating. Especially given the fresh alpine air we were filling our lungs with! The views were incredible (just WOW!) and walking was a wonderful way to be immersed in... More

Well worth going up to the top of the mountain for the views alone. Would have preferred longer up there but the day we went was really cold and snowing hard. Only one restaurant was open but welcoming and WARM! Good trip.

We were visiting Newschwanstein castle during the weekend and we decided to take the cable car to the top of the mountain and it was worth it! The view while going up was very nice. On the top, there was snow and we had the chance to hike and play with the snow. And in the end, we enjoyed some... More

We had a great time there! Took the cablecar up to the top of the mountain. The views from up there are breathtaking. Awesome afternoon ended with a great lunch at the panoramic restaurant!! It is a must!

Heading up to Neuschwanstein on Christmas Day 2015, we passed Tegelbergbahn. We are avid skiers and love anything in the mountains and decided that we would stop back by after we finished hiking the castle. It was a terrific decision. The fee to ride the tram to the top was very reasonable and the views on top were incredible. Beers... More

We got the cable car up but you can hike (takes 3.5 hours). The cable cars were running every ten minutes or so 9-5pm. The views from the top are fantastic and you can get great views of Neuschwanstein on the way if you manage to get a spot on the right of the cable car. There is a bar... More

We were right at 9:00 a.m. in the parking lot of where cable cars brings us up to the top of Mont Tegelberg. That way, there were way less tourists going up! After paying for our tickets, we entered the cable car. It was a smooth climb. I had no idea that we could see so clearly the Neuschwanstein Castle... More

We took the Tegelberg cable car to the top. The view is spectacular. It was I nice clear day and mountains around was a great view. We had lunch in the restaurant. The food was decent enough. Worth visiting if you’re in Schwangau

It was a foggy day in Schwangau so we hoped for the sun on the hill top. And we were lucky - we had a great view from the Tegelberg and +- 20 euro for the cable car were very well spent money. Do not miss it!
