The park is just 3 km from the City center and nice for a walk or jogging. rental boats are available to paddel over the lake. Parking is sufficently available. The beergarden offers nice food and a cold beer. We enjoy it evereytime we are here.

Starting in 1775, the former Kur princely wildlife park was created according to the ideas of court gardener Friedrich Ludwig Sckell as one of the first gardens in Germany in the new English landscape style. The court architect E.J. von Herigoyen designed numerous staff age buildings who designed the 150- hectare landscape park in a varied way. A special highlight is the classicist castle in the park, which is connected by a look axis with the castle Joahnnisburg.

This is a beautiful park to pass the time away. We walked for quite some time, past the castle and several other buildings and walked around the pond. There is a playground for the children and a nice restaurant. We had a few beers in the Biergarten. Highly recommended for a nice peaceful walk and a few cold beers!

The positive: Nice park for walking with many benches. Good gastronomy with service or as a beer garden self-service. Several toilets were all very clean. For children a playground and a beautiful maze. Also suitable for cyclists. The negative: no more boat rental on the beautiful lake. Schönbusch Castle closed for renovation (2024).

It was recommended as the 4th thing to do in Aschaffenburg. We were not really impressed. It’s a big park that you can walk round. The small buildings and “palace” were not inspiring. If you need to kill some time it’s ok.

This so called "english garden" is a magnificent place for walking. But there are although many Attraktions : Playground, open air labyrinth, nice little buildings from former time, a little castle called "Schlösschen" for a visit, rowboats rent and restaurant cafe ( in summertime great terrasse)nearby beergarden opened on warmer days.

Brought the family here for a return visit and it never fails to please. The food in the snack bar is delicious and varied, ample seating and the staff tried to converse in English with those in the party not speaking German.
The playground and the maze are great for kids.
Only downside was that we were plagued by wasps, obviously not the fault of the venue, but not to their advantage!

This is a great place to spend on a sunny day. The park offers nice scenery along the small lake. There is also a small playing area for kids and a few restaurants. It has an area where one could leave a bicycle.
