What a fun way to ascend to the top of the mountain where you can enjoy both the Baumwipfelpfad Schwarzwald and the Hanging Bridge. You need to do both of these on the same day as they are so close. To get there, you need to ride this quick ride on the Funicular. It is somewhat expensive considering it is only a five minute ride, but it is the fastest way to the top.

I like funiculars and taking this ride offers you fantastic view over Bad Wildbad. There are lot of hiking routes on top of the hill (or mountain whatever) so it is nice way to spend time. The funicular rode every 30 mins but it was summer and corona so it might operate more often normally.

This was our first time riding the Sommerberg Funicular. We bought the round trip for about €9/person. The cars came quickly and the ride was very comfortable. However, the cars aren’t very large, so plan ahead so you don’t run into large crowds.

Highly efficient, fun and good value way to get up and down to the Baumwipfelpfad. Runs regularly throughout the day and into early evening.

Nice short trip up the mountain. The views are nice on the way. In the lower station there are no benches to sit if you're waiting.

Glass cable car to ascend to the observation tower. Sit in the very front for a 180 Disney like ride.

What a nice convenient way to get up to the mountain and explore the many pathways and tree top walks. Really worth the few Euro.

I really enjoyed the cable car. Very nice views and trails on top of the mountain. Well organized, clean and leaves on time.

Clean tidy easy to use great views. What more can I say oh and reasonably priced too. Regular times all day hop on and off good for disabled access too.

The Sommerberg Funicular tram not only provided a beautiful view of a valley beneath the Sommerberg, but, the ride was smooth and comfortable. We got on ahead of a tour so there was no crowding. In addition, walking / hiking around the Sommerberg was wonderful and relaxing.

Yes you can take your baby and stroller. No problem. There are lifts to get into the funicular train. It’s safe for any age young or old. We rode and travelled to schwarzwald yesterday with a group of ten people including a baby and its stroller.
