The story of the ride over the frozen Lkae Constance is amazing and bvecame a symbol for sopmebody travelling through dangers unknown to himself.

The water fountain in the square at the boat landing is an eye catcher. I do not recall ever seeing a statue of an old naked woman (just young naked women) whose body shows the effects of years of living.

I saw it by coincedence when i was in town for the market and the music festival in the weekend. Very strange espically the old lady. They have another old lady statue also by the lake!

Nice outdoor place to chill, eat some ice and enjoy the view plus the fresh air from the Bodensee. For Relaxing after hiking or after visting the town

the fountain is modern and depicts a famous german writer who today is 90 - Martin Walser. When Walser turned 80 he demanded from the city to cover the fountain, but the city did not do so - strong statement pro Art.
Walser recently said he has cut his peace w the fountain, he avoids walking by.
