Nice view
Jun 2019
Even though this place is rather small, there is a gorgeous view from the pool toward the Swiss mountains. Nice just to go to relax after a long walk through the wine yards.

Very enjoyable

We visited the Meersburg Therme midweek and midday. There was plenty of room, but I can imagine it being quite crowded at peak times. The receptionist was very pleasant and explained how the complex operated, in good English. The cost was 12.50€ for an adult and 9€ for up to 15 year old for 4 hours to use the pool complex, and 19.50€ for an adult for 3 hours to use the pool and sauna. My daughter was not keen to use the (nude) sauna, so my wife and daughter paid for the pool only. I tried the sauna. Extra 1/2 hour is 1€, but decided that 3 hours was enough for us. We also hired a towel for 5€ + 5€ deposit.

The place is very well organised. You get a plastic token when you pay for entry. Then you go to the change rooms, men’s, ladies, or family. We went to a family change room and there didn’t seem to be a way to lock the door. Another couple came in and started getting changed, so we guessed that was how things worked! Then my wife realised she had forgotten her togs! Rather than walk all the way back to the hotel, couple suggested she go and buy some from the Therme or nearby (while half dressed)! My wife went back to reception and found she could hire togs for 2€ + 5€ deposit.

Then we put our belongings in a locker, inserted the plastic token in the mechanism which allows the door to be locked. Then a wrist strap containing the token is removed from the locker and can be worn in the pool until returning to the locker. The locker can therefore be opened and locked as required. Quite brilliant.

Then off to the pool. It was tepid, not sure exactly how hot. It allows swimming from indoor to outdoor to view the lake. There was a hot tub but it was closed. There were many loungers to relax on.

The sauna area had a turnstile operated with the wrist strap/token. There was indoor sauna, showers, massage area, cold plunge pool, bar for food and drink which can be billed to the wrist strap/token. Outdoors, there was three sauna huts, a warmish pool, showers, and loungers.

Most people were moving around with robes on, and disrobed to go into the sauna and pool. It was a little chilly outside so I guess that was more of a factor. (I was politely advised to cover up when ordering from the bar despite other men wandering around naked in the indoor area.)

At one stage a staff member handed out small cups of “eisgel” which a lot of us rubbed on and dipped in the lake. Very invigorating.

There are clocks around to keep track of time.

Overall, it was a very relaxing experience.

Rude Staff and Uncomfortable Sauna Experience
Jul 2019
The receptionist who served us on 12/07 at 3pm was so rude and aggressive. My German is quite poor but I tried, she responded/shouted in perfect English ‘What is it you want to do?’ I felt so embarrassed how she continued to speak to me and my husband. She clearly wanted to make us feel stupid and she certainly did! Awful.
The swimming pools (family section) are poor and very small for the amount of people who are in them.
The Sauna area is far better, in the sense of lots of different Sauna and Steam rooms, some outside with beautiful views of the lake, and a bar area. The nakedness of other people doesn’t bother me, but I would prefer to have bikini or swimsuit on myself, it would be nice if nudity was an option and not compulsory.
What made me uncomfortable was the young children who were naked in the steam/Sauna rooms with large groups of naked adults. I think it’s a cultural thing but for me I would expect these types of Saunas to be adult only.
I wouldn’t recommend if you are not used to this sort of environment as it’s very much in your face.

Spend a day with dosens of different sauna types
Aug 2018 • Solo
This is the best SPA on the lake. Here you can find a lake beach, several swiming pools including big one for training and dozens of different kinds of sauna - with my favorite one in which you can observe the blue water through the long-long window, I was here in rainy day so it was special pleasure to swim in cold water afterwards (some restrictions are exist - you should not wear swimming dress in sauna area and bring your towel or rent one at the reception). They have also a restarunt inside so you can spand inside a whole day with lunch or dinner.

Absolutely loved this place after a long working day
Jun 2018 • Couples
My friend and I enjoyed the Therme so much that we went back a couple days later although it was a 40 minute drive from Langenargen where we stayed for a week. The setting of the Therme is just lovely with a good size outdoor infinity pool and the quirky wooden pile structures housing the saunas with stunning views over Lake Constanz and the distant Swiss Alps.

Both days we arrived after 7pm when it was not at all busy and we pretty much had the saunas to ourselves. For me the best parts of the Therme are definitely the outdoor areas. We spent almost all our time in the infinity pool enjoying the massage jets while catching some late sun rays and later in the quirky rustic Pfahlhaus-saunas with their panorama windows allowing us to watch the gorgeous sunset.

It was also just wonderful to swim in the slightly chilly waters of the Lake after a good hard sweat in the 90 deg Celsius sauna. In between cooling down in the Lake and heating up in the sauna we enjoyed being able to rest on the sun loungers along the lake shoreline. We loved it so much and relaxed so well that we almost missed the closing time and had to rush getting showered and dressed. And yeah, in Germany people are naked in the sauna and walk around in the nude in the designated areas around the saunas. That includes going for the swim in the lake - it’s natural and fabulous. Try it!

Sauna

Dear Bürgermeister,
Not everyone enjoys prancing their naked butts in front of the opposite gender. Especially folks coming from overseas to enjoy a sauna visit, we are not really used to the nakedness. Because of that I was SUPER excited to find out about the women's night on Mondays. Unfortunately, once I travelled my ten kms I arrived to find out that women's night had been cancelled to accommodate both genders. I think it would be forward thinking to stick to the dates in your calendar, especially since it was announced only a few days ago and I had checked the website when I last visited the pool section a week ago and nothing like that jumped up. By the way folks, the pools are not really all that warm. You have to keep moving to be able to stay in them, I think they wavered around 30 degrees celsius. I think I will check out the other ones in Ueberlingen and Konstanz when I make my way back over the pond (Atlantic)... one day... Cheers.

I love Meersburg Therme
Aug 2018 • Solo
Many reviews say that this Therme is small, but in my view this is preferable, as it is more intimate than the large noisy ones elsewhere. I have only been in the Sauna area, which is delightful. The access to the Lake after the sauna is thoroughly enjoyable, an experience that is not possible in England, as nowhere like this exists there.
What was NOT a delight was the arrogant and downright rude receptionist that I had to put up with on my arrival at 10:45 and leaving at 1:45 on August 22nd 2018. My knowledge of the German language is poor, but she was totally intolerant and was obviously intent on making me look stupid, despite her having a good knowledge of English. Management take note:- She should have an intensive course on customer service, or not be employed here at all. The second option is favourable. She spoiled what was otherwise an excellent experience.

Great day at Meersburg
Jun 2018 • Family
We took the ferry to Meersburg as this was only half hour ferry ride from Konstanz.
Very quaint small town - can visit Meersburg castle old and new. Walk the the streets with beautiful small buildings. Various food options - cafes , restaurants on the lake or in the town.
Worth a visit.

Relaxation
Jun 2018 • Friends
The Meersburg Therme is small, but nice. It wasn't crowded that day, because many preferred the outdoor swim or the beach. The water temperature was good, just on the inside the air was stale. But after a while you get used to it and you'll enjoy the warm temperature, when you leave the pool. The prices are moderate.
