The new "Kunstmuseum" in Ravensburg is worth a trip, if You are nearby. The building itself get the "German Architektur Preis" in 2013 and the collection is small, but fine. Around the corner is also the "Museum Ravensburger" and the "Humpis-Museum". You can buy one ticket for all.

We came in winter, the museum presented The collection of Emil Nolde a German great painter. It was nice exhibition and the high lights was the architecture of this museum is just amazing! Using old brick from ruined monastery in French to build one of Schwäbisch architecture masterpieces makes our visit worth. The museum is not so big just enough time to explore and to meditate with the paintings.

The museum building itself in a masterpiece of architecture but the exhibition is also great. I visited the Max Pechstein exhibition which is mixed with other paintings from a private collection. The descriptions are very helpful and detailed to understand M.P.'s living, the influences and his art. The interiour design of the museum is great (especially the upper floor).
