The passionate researcher Professor Magnus has been on the trail of very special magical mythical creatures in the Harz for some time. At the beginning, the puzzle group receives an encrypted backpack filled with mysterious objects and documents. An enclosed map section leads the group straight to the first place where Professor Magnus discovered one of the magical mythical creatures: they generally like to hide in shop windows. On site, the group learns further peculiarities about the habitat and lifestyle of the mostly small creatures and solves another puzzle task, with which a lock on or in the backpack can be opened and a clue to the whereabouts of the next creature can be found. The path continues on foot in search of all the documented creatures through the idyllic old town of Wernigerode until the secret of probably the most magical of all magical mythical creatures is finally revealed.
The outdoor game has been implemented with a lot of love and dedication. Originally designed for a younger puzzle audience, the game is definitely also suitable for adults. Above all, the stories about the mythical creatures are presented with a lot of humor and creativity and brought a smile to our faces at every single station.

A lot of fun, great puzzles

We are from Holland and really love playing escape games. So on our holliday we searched for escapegames. We emailed Julia and she emediatly aranged that we could do both rooms. A very nice welcome and she even speaks dutch. The rooms are great. Logic puzzles, a lot of fun and that in a very nice town. You don't want to miss these rooms. Take it from two people who did over 50 rooms in holland😀

Livestream escape magic!

Wow! I feel so lucky to have played an escape room in the heart of Deutschland while being stuck at home in the United States. Harz Escape has the Don Vito Investigation room streaming online so anyone in the world can play. I felt like I was right in the room.

I've played more than a few rooms and this one has a wonderful subtlety. Things aren't always as they seem and the room has the perfect balance between immersion and challenging steps. There are many puzzle types from easy to complex so everyone will feel involved. You're helping a secretary find hidden documents and she never breaks character, time absolutely flies by as you truly feel like you're racing against a real clock with gangsters approaching.

Harz Escape Don Vito is a great value for the price and I very much recommend it for small groups of families or on date night. I was helping secretary Julia and her English is perfect, she's speedy, smart, and very helpful.

I look forward to playing more Harz games if they add those to the livestream option. We beat the gangsters and it was so much fun!!

Excellent friendly staff and a fantastic escape room experience. We can highly recommend it as a fun activity. We choose the medium difficulty room and just managed to get out in time. It was our first escape room but definately not our last.

We played the three rooms "Secret of the Watchmaker", "Zauprüfung" and "Golden Book" within less than a week during a holiday in the Harz Mountains. They are very well made and detailed. There are cool and challenging puzzles. The rooms are full of effects. Furthermore, the game directors are involved in the story and not only act as observers who monitor the game and possibly help the players. The room "secret of the watchmaker" specifically is a highlight and absolutely recommended. It's the best room I've played so far, and I've played a lot of rooms. He has been fully entitled to 11th place in the Germany-wide Ranking since 2023. There are also outdoor games in the beautiful downtown of Wernigerode and a puzzle table to borrow.
