Good museum that’s participating in the Mediterranean Picasso festival with a focus on the Vallauris years across four sites in that town. Watch the (easy to understand French) film in L’Eden too.

The Picasso museum in Vallauris has several magnificent works by Picasso, however I've expected to have in the "National Museum of Picasso" a wider assortment of this artist works. This museum has some of Picasso ceramics and a magnificent chapel ceiling painted by the artist....More

So, I've been to Picasso museums in Paris, Barcelona, Antibes and now Vallauris. This place is a distant, distant last place. Small collection of ceramics in the city famous for ceramics!??? They seriously need to bone up their investment here. Without a doubt you will...More

It was interesting to see the small collection of Picasso ceramics. That part of the exhibition only worth a minor detour. The bulk of the museum are temporary exhibits by other artists. What was shown when we were there was worth a visit. However, I...More

Beautiful ceramics of the famous Picasso and many other artists and, as the great surprise, a chapel fully decorated by Picasso, showing his view on war and peace.

We visited this museum as well as the Picasso Museum in Antibes. Interesting to compare. Obviously here the chapel with "La Guerre et la Paix" (war and peace) here was THE main piece. In these days you would call it an installation. When you sit...More

The museum has a small collections of Picasso's work. The only things that is noteworthy is the vault "La Guerre et La paix", which represents a quiet and peaceful place to stay. Apart from that, there is not much.

Appreciate that the collections on display here will vary, but nonetheless disappointed with our recent return visit to this small Picasso museum. On a previous visit (over 10 years ago) we found a very interesting collection of Picasso pottery themed around fish designs on plates....More

Although this is the national gallery of Picasso, other artists are also exhibited, and done very imaginatively too. It is a lovely building (or complex of buildings really) with some stunning works by Picasso in a variety of media as well as many works by...More

Musee National Picasso is combined with another couple of exhibitions. Two of them are the "Musee de la Ceramique" and the "Musee Magnelli". Most visitors (not a lot when we visited) go for the "La guerre et la paix" murals on the Church next to...More
