I recently embarked on a 3-day tour with Tinariwen Tours, and it was nothing short of perfect for exploring the ancient rock paintings of the Sahara. Our guide, Mohammed, was truly outstanding—a local Tuareg who not only introduced us to the culture of Djanet and the Sahara but also demonstrated unparalleled patience, attention to historical detail, and care during our campsite stays. His culinary skills surpassed all expectations, treating us to exquisite Algerian dishes amidst the vastness of the desert.

The entire team mirrored Mohammed's excellence. We were fortunate to have talented artists among us, serenading us with local songs that immersed us in the atmosphere and allowed us to dream. With everything included—service, dining, camping gear—Tinariwen Tours provided flawless organization at an incredibly reasonable price. This experience exceeded all my expectations and left me longing to return for more adventures with them. Five stars without hesitation!

Mohamed arranged an excellent Tadrart and Erg Admer tour for myself in Dec 23. Everything went smoothly (including the paperwork behind the visa on arrival). It was a very reasonably priced private tour that included everything and took me to some amazing sites in SE Algeria.

The 4X4 car was very new and in good condition, the food was plentiful and tasty and the guide spoke perfect English and showed me all the good walking routes, Tuareg history, stars at night etc.

Can thoroughly recommend this Djanet based agency

Traveling with Tinariwen Tours was a great experience and we were also lucky enough to be guided by Muhammed himself. He is a very hard-working person who knows how to respond to the needs of his guests. A surprise was when we were talking about pasta and one evening we actually had Bolognese on our plate. Before the trip my biggest concern was my allergies, but Mohammed managed with the food and I was always in good health.

The desert in the Djanet region is a magical place of indescribable beauty. The people are wunderfuI and very honest. I have already traveled to over 75 countries and seen many deserts, but this one cannot be overstated.
Although we booked a private tour, by chance we joined another Tinariwen group with whom we got along really well. We loved that.
What made this trip particularly special was the Tuareg live music from the crew, which happily accompanied our experience every evening and sometimes Haitham one of the cooks played his guitar at lunch time. We sang, danced and were just happy. For me it was the perfect break from my stressful everyday life.
One of my personal highlights was to play my unusual instrument, the handpan, with the Tuareg musicians.
Not to forget the excellent food from Omar and his crew.
We had all comfort.

An important point for traveling women: we were always treated with respect and felt very comfortable with the entire crew. I would like to thank you very much for the best trip of my life. Everything was perfect. 5 stars are not enough.
Thank you Muhammad.

Best greetings from Switzerland Sandra

The tour was was very nice with many pictures taken. Nice guides. But I had some problems with the owner of the organization. Beforehand we agreed on a 5 day tour, but at the end I was forced to pay 11 days, even the owner had mailed me a only 5 day quotation. Be careful with this guy

We had an absolutely wonderful breathtaking week with Mohammed, Nadir and Hamma. We felt absolutely safe throughout the whole trip, everybody was extremely respectful, kind and funny. The landscapes were stunning. The Sebiba festival was breathtaking, it was like in a dream.
My favorite part was the nightly music with guitar and drums, under the moonlight and stars in the quiet desert, it was magical. I have dreamt about this my whole life and Mohammed and everybody made us so happy and gave us the experience of a lifetime. They put so much effort into the cooking, our wellbeing and showing us around. It was the best trip of our lives and we would like to come back every year! Thank you so much Mohammed, Nadir and Hamma, you were absolutely amazing!!

We spent one day with Mohammed in Tassili n'Ajjer, great and beautiful part of Sahara. Everything that happened that day was more than my expectations. Mohammed took care even of issues that he didn't have to care. Perfect contact from very first day i wrote him, he helped with all the formalities necessary to get algerian visa and military permit requested in this region. I felt like he's a kind of concierge, not regular local guide.
It was 5 star trip, but he deserved for all the stars we've seen on the sky of Sahara. Unforgetable experience. Think about one thing that seems to be unreal in the desert and Mohammed will arrange it for sure. I wholehartedly recommend Tinariwen Tours and for sure i'll back for more, as desert is really like a drug.

We had a wonderful stay with Nadir, Mohamed, the cook and the musician. Their organization is up to the challenge: incredible! We ran out of nothing, even in the middle of the desert we had cold water to hydrate. Meals morning noon evening in large quantities, you will be satisfied for sure. Just beautiful scenery. In the evening, beautiful atmospheres await you thanks to the talent of the musician and the voice of Nadir. I absolutely recommend Tinariwen Tours to discover the beautiful scenery of Algerian Sahara.

Thanks again to them for this trip!

The tour Mohammed planned for us was amazing. Possibly among the best tours I ever took (I visited over 75 countries so far). Everything was perfect and the landscapes are so surreal you think you are on a different planet every day. Our crew of Touareg guides/drivers/cooks was amazing, very kind and respectful. One of the best parts was the music they played at the campsites (and sometimes even at lunchbreak) - I will never forget dancing under the Saharan sky barefoot in the sand with their beautiful tunes. Tanemert Team Tinariwen!! Hope to be back some day!!

Tassili n'Ajjer really blew my mind. I'm surprised it's too popular as travel destination. I just hope it will get more attention because it's really a unique destination. The good thing about the place is it's not too crowded at the moment. Sometimes we camped at the site where nobody else's around. That was amazing experience.

Tinariwen Tour is really a great local company. I always tried to find local guide first when I traveled and I'm glad I decided to go with them. Mohammed is really a good guide. He knows the national park really well. In places like Tassili n'Ajjer, you really need guides with great knowledge not only about the place but also about the history of the place. I would really recommend them.

First of all I would like to thank Mohamed and his two associates who were very friendly and professional from the beginning to the end of the stay.
Me and my father took a trip to the Sahara desert via Tinariwen Tours for 5 days which was incredible. The guides know the desert by heart, they made us explore unforgettable places, they were attentive and attentive throughout the stay. They are people who are cultured and who have real human values with exceptional wisdom.
A special mention for the food which was excellent (they are real chefs).
I fully recommend this agency.
I will return for another unforgettable tour.
Thanks to Tinariwen Tour. See you soon
