Place of interest in context to similar historical buildings in the region, for example: Heidelberg, Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Rastatt. This castle was complete destroyed in the world war II, the reconstruction to be effected originally. Actual, Museum for historical musicboxes and antique furnitures. For architects of interst: famous staircase.

We knew that the Castle was an architectural gem and that its garden a thing of beauty. What we had not anticipated was the love and enthusiasm of the staff for THEIR castle. The staff will approach you and volunteer their knowledge. Such wonderful guides we have encountered only in Britain's National Trust Properties. As a result, we purchased several... More

On our visit on the last day of July there was hardly anything else there which was a great shame as this phenomenal restoration of a baroque palace after second world war damage deserves a bigger audience. Still unlike Versailles you can actually see everything without the i-goons in the way. And there's a brilliant museum of musical automata.

I have been at Bruchsal Schloss today, and the staircase was indeed very nice. But as foreign visitors we have been requested to pay 17,50 euro instead og the 15 advertised on the Palace website. Also, the brochure from our hotel advertised with the the automatic music boxes, where some of them can be operated by vistors, and when we... More

Truly a beautiful and marvelous building. The first time I saw this I was deeply impressed with how clean and nice the garden area looks. I went around 2010 June timeframe so it was a great time to do so. Recommend if in the area to check it out.

We left Karlsruhe (30' drive) to admire the famous staircase. We of course had looked into their website first to check the visiting hours but like tens of tourists were baffled to discover that the Schloss was closed to visitors due to a private (SAP) concert. The poor inefficient management of this entirely rebuilt castle (fully bombed during WWII) found... More

I recommend this palace for every architecture- and art- fan! This is a beautiful palace with lots of details and frescos. Unfortunately, they are restored, but they look wonderful! Outside the palace is a beautiful park with ponds and statues and place to sit and have a rest. Children will be happy to visit Deutchen musikautomaten museum - the museum... More

I've started the tour and was wondering why the guide spent 15 minutes explaining few things at the exhibition about the castle renovation. And then I've realized this castle has 3 hall you can actually see. Felt like scam. Not worth 6 EUR, especially if you have seen millions of castles before. Also, I do not see any point in... More
