Don't let the simple humble design on the outside fool you. This church is very ornate and magnificent inside. Also on a hot day, they have a cold water cooler inside. It helps when you've been walking around town for a while.

The interior was a surprise - a definitely nice one, I might add. Plenty of paintings and details. Cheap admission to the tower - which might not be particularly tall, yet the location of the Stadtkirche Sankt Marien guarantees the views.
This is a beautiful church. Well maintained and definitely worth a visit. For 1 euro you can climb the church tower which is really nice. You come by the huge bells and have an amazing view of the city, the palace and the surroundings.
