The chapel is nice, but actually not the big attraction here. It is rather plain and simple. And it was closed. I think they open it only for special occasions or for some religiously significant days. Between June and August there is an evening prayer every Thursday at 20:00h.

The sensational thing is the stunning view you have from here. For being located on a hill, you have an almost unobstructed view. Unfortunately I visited it on a cloudy autumn day and saw Friedrichshafen and Lake Constance. The Swiss mountains (Säntis) were visible as a giant silhouette on the horizon behind the lake.

I can only begin to imagine how great the view would be with a clear sky on a sunny day. To find out I will definitely go there again.

Another nice feature is that you can see the Zeppelin hangar nearby. So if you want to see a zeppelin taking off or landing, this is the place to go.

An easy hiking trail goes past by the chapel. It is part of circular route that leads you through villages in the area and is approximately 14 kilometers long. Check the www or get information from a local tourist information when visiting the area next time.
