The tower isn’t anything special in itself, but from there you can see the whole city, the lake and the mountains. It is worth a short visit to check out the stunning views.

Fantastic view over the lake, alps, and city. Nice explanation of the different mountain peaks on the upper platform. Choose a clear sunny day, or try a night view. Remember to put a lock with your sweethearts name on it.

Beautifully engineered steps!!
Not too much of a challenge to get to the top, and great views thereafter. Picture showing which mountain is which.
And all free.

You cannot miss the tall structure on the lakeside at Friedrichshafen and it is well worth a visit! Mum and I were amazed it was free of charge to climb to the top and how quiet it was at the top, and all the way up. Once at the top the views are truly spectacular across the lake and for miles, and miles, around. The tower is decorated with many, many locks which also add some colour.
Well worth a trip!

This estructure is a must to visit if you want to have the best views of Friedrichshafen and the Lake.
Located at the Ferries Port and just in front of the Aika Brot Kaffee terrace.
On the top floor you can note the movement of the building.
No entrance or time limit.

........well that's what it looks like to me. It's only a short walk down the harbour mole/breakwater and is quite easy to climb. From the top you don't actually see much in the way of "far reaching" views like you would for instance at the top of Pfander at Breganz but you can see out onto the lake for a distance and admire the locks fastened to the surrounding fence. There's a seating area around the base and it's a good vantage point to see ferries and lake craft entering/leaving harbour. Something to do whilst visiting the town but not an attraction in its own right.

This is a very simple thing - a metal tower that you climb to see the lake and Friedrichshafen. Very simple, fun, good exercise and free. If you are close by and the weather is nice, take a few minutes to climb to the top. As mentioned, this is free!

This tower provides free exercise and a beautiful view over the lake and city. Don´t forget your camera! This experience is for able-bodied persons since there is no elevator available.

Definitely recommend to climb up there when the sun is out and everything is clear. Otherwise you won’t see much of the beautiful mountains. It’s a great place to see the city and surroundings. Don’t have to pay to get up there , however you have steps only, you need a bit of condition to get up but it’s worth it. Bodensee is a magical place to be and even to leave if ever you consider to stay there.
