As there is not so much things to see in konstanz, visiting here can make difference, you don't lose if not to visit here, but if you have time dont spend it in shopping malls, go and greet the spirit of lake, feel the nature; mountains, sky, birds, fishes , and so on, since they keep the vicinity so clean.

During my five day stay I had many chances to walk along the harbour. The see lovely and impressive Imperia and the love locks. We enjoyed seeing the swans, herons and many other birds along the shore. Beautiful and well maintained walkways made for a wonderful time.

The Christmas Market was around every corner and down every street. A lot to see. Many food and drink stalls to choose from....always with something for the kids in between.., Lovely atmosphere all along the Harbour...

Last weekend was in Konstanz, Germany....A small beautiful and serene university town on the banks of river Rhine and lake Konstanz with the snow clad alps on the horizon. Enjoyed the stay there👍🏻 Since Konstanz is adjacent to Switzerland, it escaped the bombing by allied forces during world war 2 and hence the old German town beauty and historical monuments... More

There are many unexpected delights to uncover in Konstanz' harbour area. The famous turning statue of Imperia holding a minute emperor and pope aloft is probably the most well-known, and certainly makes for a most unusual harbour entrance. However, the old buildings, the landing bridges of the pleasure and passenger boats (at this time decked with Christmas lights and a 360... More

There are lots of restaurants overlooking the harbour. It is very busy and international. We had bikes and so could go further away from the crowds.

Entering Konstanz from the north of the Rhine, it is nice to walk over the pedestrian footbridge past the old towers and through the underpass towards the lake. Walk alongside the railway line until you reach the park, which is perfectly pleasant. The statue of Imperia is next to the quay for catching the ferry to Friedsrichshafen, and she really... More
