Between Silverstar and Sovereign Lake, hands down, two of the best cross country ski areas in North America. Consistently great grooming and snow conditions.

Winter: ski (downhill and x country), snowshoe, tubing. Apres ski and night life. Decent restaurants and pubs. Coffee shops. Lots of accommodation. Summer: biking (downhill and x country), hiking, campsites with or without power. And only 20 minutes from Vernon. What's not to like?

SilverStar is a hidden gem - beautiful, wide sloping runs for all levels, and great powder when we were there. Adult day passes are far more reasonably priced than Big White or Whistler, and we were able to get good equipment rentals quickly and easily....More
