It's like any other tea garden spread over huge area but only two small gardens are open for visitors. It does have few good picturesque spots to click pictures but other than that it has nothing to offer. We thought there must be a tea stall at least, so we hiked a little to this place (you can also go by car) but unfortunately it's just a tea factory and tea gardens. They charge INR 20 per person for visiting the tea gardens, nothing much to do or see though. So yeah, if you are in nainital and give it a miss you won't be taking any #FOMO back home. So yeah, that's it.

There's an outlet selling the garden's tea. Entry ticket Rs 20. Near by Gorkhel temple and Bhimtal. A small Tea plantation and small Tea processing unit is also there. But they don't allow to visit factory premises. Owned by the Government and not meant for a tourist visit.

I really fell in love with the tea plantations, the pattern of plantation is just amazing , it is mesmerising, I really felt the taste of nature, the tea leaves are directly sourced from plantations and are sourced here, the product obtained is soo fresh, they retail the produced products , I purchased some exotic tea varieties along with green tea.. it is one among the must visit places in nainital...!!!

Personally I liked this place but I came to know that generally visitors tend to compare it with commercial tea estates of Munnar or Ooty or Darjeeling end up finding it a ' no point visiting' place. In fact, there is no point comparing those century old private commercial tea estates to this tea garden recently established under 'government wage guarantee scheme' . Visit to this place can be recommend only if
-One is done with peaks, lakes and valley views or
-One is interested buying organic tea or
-Interested to know Orthodox process of tea powder manufacturing
- Has never been to a tea estate or
- Has missed clicking a selfie in a tea estate ;)

Its a small tea garden where you can stopby for some nice clicks if you are going towards Mukteshwar from Nainital. If you like organic tea, then you can buy it fresh from here as less as 100 gms.

About 2 kms from the Ghorakhal temple is the tea garden. When we went the tea leaves were not very healthy (looked diseased).
Has photo opportunities. But very little to really admire here.

We stopped by this tea garden at Bhowali without any expectations. I frankly had no clue that Uttarakhand even grew tea. And coming from Bengal, the home of Darjeeling Tea, a certain snobbishness about all tea is part of my mental makeup. But all that was about to change. The tea garden is quite beautiful and well maintained though not very large. It was obvious that the State cared for this industry. There is a shop attached to the garden, and we they had 2 varieties, priced at a modest Rs. 400 and Rs. 600 per kg. We bought 250 gm of the higher priced one, and the lady at the shop very humbly told us that it requires 3-5 mins brewing, like its Darjeeling originals and may not be able to support addition of milk. We packed it away among our various souvenirs. The biggest surprise was when I actually made tea out of this back home. This tea gave out a beautiful aroma akin to the GI coded Darjeeling, and can take a wee drop of milk. The colour is towards grey and not the gold associated with Darjeeling but that is the only variance. Excellent Himalayan tea, and I would recommend a "must buy" if you are a tea lover.

The tea plantation is small and the area open for visitors is very restricted. There is a small shop that sells local tea. Do visit it if you are in the region for the first time.

Nothing much to see. It is a normal tea garden. It is spread in a huge area but only two small gardens are open for visitors. Nominal entry fees. Can buy few tea leaves from the shop.
