Petite Anse is a small bay just beyond Flamands but before the goat-trail to Colombier, and the Auberge de Petite Anse hotel overlooks the bay.

The beach has hardly any sand, and there are many rocks close to the shore, but once you are in and get to the centre pool area, the water is lovely. As it is protected from the sea by large rocks on either side, with only a small exit to the open sea, the water is very still and we noticed some locals teaching their children to swim here at the week-end. As it is so sheltered, Petite Anse is a perfect location to do this. The other visitors we saw here were those with snorkels who would go for long swims around the open coastline.

Frankly, we had never previously considered Petite Anse as a place to go for a swim but it is usually deserted on week-days and very peaceful. We enjoyed it so much we visited four times during our most recent stay on the island.

This is a good place to swim, not really for hanging out on a sandy beach. Not much sand here, but rocks to sit on. The water is pretty and calm. Great for snorkeling. There is a walking path part of the way around the water. Walk almost to the end and look for the bright green plants in the water on the rocks. When the water washes over them, they are a dark green, but as the water fades, it changes colors to a bright green. It is really fun to watch. A relaxing place to be!

I love Petite Anse, but mainly for snorkeling or a quick pincic. It's not really a beach but more of a rocky cove.

We had a superb view of La Petite Anse from the lookout point above Colombier. It’s a small and rocky cove between Flamands and Colombier beaches. The water is clear and looks like it would make for good snorkeling on a calm day. Petite Anse would be convenient if you’re staying nearby, otherwise I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here.

We were staying at the hotel here and enjoyed daily snorkels. There is some healthy coral along the rocks and lots of fish. We noticed on weekends and a holiday, there were families here with children who enjoyed jumping off the rocks and the calm waters.

This place is supposed to be good for snorkeling but I definitely wouldn't be doing that here based on when I've visited. It is a beautiful view but too much surf in my opinion. Definitely not a place to layout and catch some rays, just go down the street to Flamands

Plunge into this little beach and the natural, jacuzzi like feel with the currents(sometimes very strong) it's a good place to cool off after a walk to Colombier!

Rocks and white sand, glittering wawes, a glorious beach, shallow waters with impressive underwater life. Every one likes to spent time here , safely, in a wonderful setting with family or friends.

Not sure why they call it a beach, it's tiny and rocky, no real room to hang out. Right at the turn in the road to hike to Colombier.
