Wow, having worried about finding my transfer driver, it could not of been easier to find him.
As stated in the E mail I received he was right in the spot described.
We had a little bit of a wait at the airport, but that was unfortunate as a transfer passenger had lost some important luggage, just one of those things.
Matt was fantastic, our transfer was very comfortable and we arrived in Tignes on good time and in very safe hands.

We booked with them because we wanted to reduce our transfer time and have more time to enjoy our holiday.
Driver was easy to find in Geneva and we left on time. We were 2 families in the van. At one point, the driver asked us if we wanted to make a stop. We denied because our kids (4 & 7) were sleeping and the other family also said that it was not necessary but the driver decided to stop to have his cigarette and coffee and the kids woke up. Was is really necessary to ask then?
After that, the driver stopped at a supermarket gas station to refuel because it´s the cheapest place and they have a card from this place. We had to move the van 3 times because the 2 first gas nozzles didn´t work! I´m sure the driver could refuel when he is not with clients.
We then resume our trip and before we had snow on the road, the driver has been asked by his manager to put the chains on and that´s what he did. We broke chains 3 times! Probably a cheap brand because I never saw that in the past but you don´t put your chains before having snow on the road. We had to stop at their office so the driver could have some help. It took us 4h25 to reach Tignes when we booked them to save time!
5 days before the return they let me know that they will pick us up at 9:40 at the resort which was more than 10 hours before our flight! I told them that it was unacceptable and that they were ruining my last day. They said that they had sent me an email with the times at the moment of the booking and it is true. I misunderstood it because one was the pick up time at the airport and the other one was the drop time at the airport when I had understood that it was the pick up time at the resort. I would have never booked with them knowing that I would have to wait 6hs in the airport with 2 young kids. They didn´t want to give me a refund and I had to pay another van so I don´t waste half a day of ski.
Never again with Alpine Sherpa

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on our service. We recognise reviews are important, they help potential customers and also assist us with maintaining consistency of product! I am not sure your review offers a fair representation of your experience with Alpine Sherpa. We responded to your initial enquiry swiftly providing you with a quotation and clearly setting out the transfer times available. Once your booking was confirmed, we promptly provided you with all the appropriate information. I am disappointed to hear about the break during your journey, having said this we actively encourage our drivers to take a break should the feel like they need to. I agree this driver request should have been delivered in a different way. The day you travelled up to Tignes, the road conditions were quickly deteriorating. Our manager, where possible advises our drivers when and where to put chains on. Contrary to your views, it is best to fit chains before there is too much snow (in a designated chain area), preventing the vehicle and passengers being in danger not able to move whist still on the road. As you have mentioned we were not able to offer a refund as you had booked your return transfer as per our available times; unfortunately you had not read the booking information. This was not a mistake on our part and at such late notice a refund was not an option. Thank you again and sorry you felt you received a poor service; we quickly processed your booking, delivered you safely and in reasonable time (given the conditions) to your destination, in our fully equipped vehicles, driven by fully licensed and insured drivers.

Very friendly drivers and the driving was fantastic. Arrival email a little confusing as it stated driver would be outside Hub & Co but was not there when we landed. Did however turn up at 4pm when we were supposed to leave so maybe this could have been worded better if that was the case.

This doesn't take away from how good they were so I would use them again and recommend them to everyone.

Used Alpine Sherpa for transfer from Geneva to Tignes.
Easy instructions on Geneva pick up and only a short wait.
Good safe trip up and back with helpful drivers.
Again good instructions on pick up for return. Nice clean van.

Nothing negative really, our driver was easily on time and was really friendly. Felt safe all the way with no concern about the mountain roads (unlike some other transfers we’ve been on). Good stopping point at a really nice bakery, much needed on the journey.
Got us there on time and was a great help offloading luggage.
I’d most happily use Alpine Sherpa again any time I go to Tignes

Need a helpful, trustworthy operation to get you from Geneva to the Alps at a fair price? Allow me to recommend Alpine Sherpa.

A desperate-ish request on a skiing forum seeking help with a transfer for my 17-year-old son, Jonny, and his 18-year-old cousin, Miles, from Geneva to Tignes at an awkward time, late on a Wednesday evening brought an immediate email response from Kate at Alpine Sherpa.

They were booked on the the last EasyJet flight out of Luton, which was due to arrive in Geneva at 9.10pm. The fog was playing havoc with schedules and the flight was further compromised by technical difficulties that delayed them by two hours and 40 minutes.

As you might imagine there was a degree of stress associated with this for parents waiting anxiously at home concerned about boys travelling solo for the first time. Geneva shuts at midnight until 5am, a period in which members of the public are not allowed on airport property.

The boys collected their baggage and walked into a near deserted arrivals hall. The driver assigned to take them up to Tignes, Luke, was waiting where he said he would be to welcome them and calm everybody's nerves.

Luke could not have been more helpful or friendly, which was hugely reassuring. He was able to charge phones for the boys and allowed them to impose their own playlist on the sound system all the way to Le Lac. Imagine that, Royal Blood, Kings of Leon and a bit of AC/DC in the early hours. Not for the feint-hearted. Luke dropped them off safely at the Dragon Lodge, helping them with their bags, etc.

From that first email contact from Kate to reaching their destination with Luke, the whole process was seamless. Booking forms, transfer details, payment instructions, etc were all clear and straightforward.

I cannot recommend Alpine Sherpa highly enough

The rate they offered was extremely fair. the process was seemless

This was an awkward trip to start twiht

Driven by locals who live in Tignes, Aline Sherpa is hands down the best in the business for transfers to and from this part of the World.
Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Our large party was heading back to the airport in two minibuses 2 hours apart. We loaded one of the bags onto the earlier van by mistake. This was no problem for the drivers - they arranged a handover part-Way along the route and fixed everything without a fuss. Can’t fault the service. Top tip - grab the front seat and get all the best views!
