You only have to look the other reviews to see that Renelle is an amazing instructor. I honestly have no connection to her, we booked her by pure chance as it was a late decision to go on holiday and everyone else was fully booked, and luckily for us she had a cancellation! So I booked for my 12 year old son to have 2 lessons. Initially we were unsure of how much benefit we would get.... but it was soon evident that she is an accomplished teacher, she quickly identified my sons learning style as physical/kinesthetic and adapted her approach accordingly.
This was the first time my son has snowboarded on snow, rather than a dry ski slope, but her individual approach meant that my normally "I know everything" preteenager, was actually listening and learning.
I cannot recommend her highly enough! If I ever book to come to Tignes again, i will book my holiday dates around her availability.

Renelle coached our 14yo, Zeo, after he wanted to make the switch from skis to snowboard and the feedback we got from him about Renelle was exceptional and that's very unusual for him to be so verbose and complimentary. Renelle gave him all the confidence he needed with her blend of clear instruction, practical help and zen-like thought process. We were only able to have her for 2 private sessions, of 3 hours each day, as it was busy season and she was all booked up, but in those sessions she was able to give Zeo the base he needed and he improved very quickly after that. Renelle was also so kind, as she recommended alternative options for further instruction and which ski schools we should consider, and provided the introductions - they were great and Zeo did go on to the next level, but he wished that he could have continued with Renelle. Tip tip all around, thank you so much and all the best for the rest of the season!

I went to Val’d’Isere to do my basi level 1 with Rennele.
In 4 days she has totally changed my riding. I was amazed with her way of teaching and understanding the specific needs of each of us in the course.
I’m looking forward to do more riding and learning with her!

Went from never being on a board to BASI Level 1 Standard with five 3 hour Morning sessions and 4 full days on the BASI Level 1 Course.
Renelle tailored the session to each individual to suit their learning style and using her vast experience in instructing, making progression quick and fun.
Couldn’t recommend anyone else!

I'm 48 years old and I've been snowboarding since I was 30, I've had lessons with many different instructors across lots of different resorts across the years but hands down the best is Renelle at Fresh Snowboarding.
Renelle's approach is fresh and comprehensive.
I had 3 x 3 hr lessons with my 15 year son last week, we both had different objectives from the lessons and Renelle was able to meet them all
My only regret was that I had not booked more lessons

As an experienced snowboarder of 17 years of one or two week long week holidays per season, I was aware i needed something to get me off my current plateau. The Fresh BMB course has done exactly that.
Based on the BASI approach Renelle has taught me a more efficient piste style involving pedaling (not just for bikes) and fore and aft body posture. Getting your weight on your back foot coming out of turns is a great way of getting more control and increasing speed. Cheers for that one. Also had a total epiphany on riding switch with the use of pedaling to initiate my turns. I'll nail it next time out. After a more recent obsession with backcountry riding Renelle has helped me fall back in love with carving fast on the piste and flat land. She was awsome to hang out with and ill definitely check in with here again at some point. BMB is a totally original approach to snowboard coaching using elements of modern sports pysychology and it really works.

As an experienced snowboarder looking to improve I followed a friend's recommendation and looked up Renelle on line and decided to book on this course. Before arriving I didn't know anyone else on the course but that didn't matter, from the beginning everyone wanted to focus on improving their riding and having a fun time. Renelle created a great environment for this to happen and allowed each of us to target the particular areas we wanted to improve. Everything everyone in the group wanted covered was covered. Renelle was very knowledgable, friendly and approachable. I can't recommend her courses highly enough. I'll definitely be going back. Thx so much Renelle

This was the first week snowboarding for my daughter whereas I have had a little more experience. We had had two lessons earlier in the week from another school which were fine but I felt that they were going through the motions. What struck me at first with Renelle is her passion for snowboarding. She was very keen that we should be taught the 'right' way and she also paid close attention to how my daughter was learning and adapted her teaching style accordingly. Renelle is highly qualified and vastly experienced but she taught us in a way that conveyed how snowboarding should be approached from the start. I could see my daughter improving as the lesson progressed and for myself Renelle made me aware of several improvements. I did not catch any more edges after heeding her advice and my turns were smoother and swifter. I was only sorry that we were not able to have had more lessons with her earlier in the week. I recommend her without reservations.

Attended BMB course last December. Had such a good time signed up for it again this year. The whole group returned for more which says something. Renelle is an incredible teacher, great manner and identifies exactly what will improve your riding for whatever you want to do on the slopes. Can't recommend highly enough.

I am not one for writing reviews (although I use them with a pinch of salt). I am writing one for Fresh Snowboarding as our experience with Renelle warrants it for anyone looking to take snowboard lessons. If you are thinking of going to Tignes and want snowboard lessons, Fresh Snowboarding is the one to go with. If you are thinking of taking snowboard lessons to improve but are not going to Tignes, you should consider going to Tignes so that you can have lessons with Fresh Snowboarding.
Both my 11 year old son and myself recently had 2x2hr lessons with Renelle in one day. I have been snowboarding for several years and have taken lessons with ESF, Evolution 2, European Ski and Snowboard School, and various small private lessons. My son had not snowboarded on the mountains before but have finished all the main indoor slope competency at the Snow Centre Hemel Hampstead.
Following the lessons with Renelle, I felt that my technique had significantly improved. Renelle was able to make changes to the way I had been taught such that my technique was much more stable, reliable and methodical. For my son, he had improved so much that as a last run down after the one day lessons, he was able to come down a black run on the snowboard turning with confidence and control.
Renelle’s teaching and analysis of what we require was accurate. She breaks things down into little steps that you don’t even realise you are conquering the challenges that you have been stuck at. The lessons are delivered in such good natured and encouraging manner, making them thoroughly enjoyable. Renelle clearly enjoys what she does. I have had some good lessons from some good teachers before but I would rank Renelle way up there as the best and would really consider lessons with anyone else not the best use of time and resources.
