Bowling is always a fun activity after a day of skiing. Le Bowling de Tignes is centrally located and an easy walk from most hotels. The place could move up from "fair" to "good" or "great" with a few upgrades. Add some lanes. Replace the balls--they should not wobble or make a clunking sound from the dents/chips. Wax/polish the lanes--should not be black, dull and warped. The price is also rather steep at 10€ per person per game although shoe rental is included. The hosts were helpful and friendly.

We visited the lanes during a period of heavy snow for a few games as have done in other alpine resorts such as Les Arc and St Anton. In Tignes the bowling equipment is well overdue for renewal and the bowling balls looked more dented than I’ve seen before.
During our games the equipment failed many times and the scoring didn’t match.
The facility is also not suited to persons in a wheelchair, the toilets are not accessible.

With ski conditions not always ideal this place offers a wonderful alternative. If there is a white out don't waste your day moaning I. Your chalet get the gang together and head to le bowling with bowling beers and arcade machines there is a lot of fun to be had without the mountain. Enjoy xx

A group of 5 of us visited here about 2.00 pm on a weekday afternoon and virtually had the place to ourselves. 10 Euros a game was a little pricey and drinks were expensive too but this is in the French Alps! A very nice find and a lovely alternative activity after a morning's skiing. Music played whilst we bowled which made for a nice atmosphere and there is also a pool table (extra charge).

WAY TOO PRICEY for BOWLING!!!!!:(

We went as a group of 5 friends and walked out after 5 mins. It would cost us 50 euro per game for all of us to play! DAYLIGHT Robbery!!! Head nearby and have a drink for more than half the price less at one of the hotel bars:)

Good lanes.
Nice screens.
Bowling balls - good selection for kids and adults

€10 Euros per player per game. 2 games for 6 people = €120 - for an hour's entertainment (without any drinks or snacks). We did get a couple of beers - around 8€ a pint.

Worth it? If your on the winning family - twice ... Yes :)
