The funicular is quite short but it is extremely steep so we walked down but took the funicular up which saved on the legs

This funicular goes down to the port. The tickets are about 1.50 euros each. Lovely views on the way down and going past interesting houses.

The journey between the town centre & the port takes c5mins. I used the service a couple of times (in the upward direction) during the heatwave ... best 1.10€ I’ve ever spent! It’s free during certain special events ... check their website.

This is a must seen at Thonon-les-Bains. This is best to use it to go up as it's relatively easy to walk down even with a pushchair. The view is great!
