Thonon i s a beautiful and pictureques town on theFrench side of the lake. You can get there easily via the boat across the lake from Geneva or Nyon on the Swiss side. There are very beautiful small streets around the centre of the town with stores and restaurants. Its great for a weekend visit. The centre has a lovely fountain as well as a breath taking view of the lake from a height.
