Beautiful views across the lake and further to Switzerland. Distant mountains can be seen on clear days. Also a good location to watch the sunset.

Thonon is quite a pretty little town on the shore of Lake Geneva. My friend took the funicular down to the Rives but I stayed at the top and enjoyed the lovely views across the Lake and the flowers in the little park. I think he was a little disappointed with the views he got but, I liked mine! really good market on Thursdays. If catching buses back to Annecy, be aware they are full of school kids going home after about 1700!
