Montelimar is the self-proclaimed city where nougat was first fabricated. Town has numerous Nougat shops. This is the one with the most appeal. Great displays of assorted nougats and a view into the kitchen where the nougat is still prepared. If you chose there are tours and a video room where you can learn more.

One recommendation translate the subscriptions in English and the visit will be appreciated even more....

The tour of the factory is free and you are offered complimentary nougat on your way round. The tour isn't very long but it is very informative, especially if you speak/read French as all of the information is in the native language. All of the different stages of production, from harvesting almonds, collecting honey to the cooking process are shown... More

Charming and delicious place! It was sunday, so the visit is for free. We got to know the nougat history thanks to the museum, it is also nice for the kids! They offer you different nougats to try! It was only shame that the tea saloon was closed for holidays in august!!!!

What a delight this place is! I recently went on a two-week road trip through France & Italy. We stumbled upon Montélimar by accident. And I'm sure glad we did! Best nougat I've ever had. All the nougat here in the U.S. pales in comparison. I especially like that they have a "tender" type. Sure beats breaking a tooth! If... More

It takes about 30 mins to walk through the museum, sweet displays and a film with English subtitles. It would have been nice to see them making the nougat but hey Ho, we can't have everything.

Great address to experience Provence candies making and history! Arnaud Soubeyran products are artisan products using mostly Provence ingredients.

You can do the tour through the factory by yourself. This is great if you are pressed for time and don't understand the language anyway.

A really good visit to discover how nougat is made along with its hostory. The 10% discount applies to those who stay at Le Castel du Mont Boise when recommended by Yolanda.
