Lots of great Blue and Red runs

great skiing at Les Gets - Porte du Soleil. You can get over to Morzine easily, but what's the point. There is plenty of good stuff at Les Gets.

As with many of the European ski resorts lately, snow is at a premium. Our trip was lucky because of a mid-week dump of snow but on arrival, rain was the only thing falling. The resort itself is a typical joining of small resorts to give a larger skiing area. That makes it great for cross border skiing and the... More

Les Gets, not one of the names that springs to mind when you start thinking of your skiing break, if you want to stay away from the way too busy trendy resorts then look no further. They have an emphasis on family skiing, so not for the stags or hens.

The runs are many and fairly gentle. The kids love to play in the Les Gets area where you have slopes which go up and down and sometimes go into the forest.
