Its a great drive from either side. I prefer south to north. Its all a bit cow bell and cow skins at the top with lots of don't park here signs. Just park, get a picture or two the move on Annecy is only 45 mins away.....

Cute little chapel, typical of the French alps. Very intimate, nice that it is always open (in my opinion) and anyone who needs it can put a card here.

Worth the trip to enjoy gorgeous view of Mont Blanc in the distance. The road is very busy though, with bicycles, motorbikes, minivans, trailers of all kind. Drive cautiously and safely there to fully enjoy the view .

On an fine day, this is a great place to view Mt. Blanc and have a nice lunch. On the weekend when the weather is good, you need to book ahead if you want a meal.
