About
My cooking classes are inspired by my love of Provence, my homeland, the land of olive trees, vineyards, sunshine and beautiful landscapes. Therefore, come and discover the rich Provencal, culinary tradition handed down to me by my mother and my grandmother; a tradition that in its simplicity seeks to celebrate and give expression to the intense flavors and aromas of the local produce.

- Jeffrey P4 contributionsBest event of our tripSitting in my living room just before Christmas and reflecting back on our trip to Paris and Provence in mid-October. We had a great time in both areas, but one of the standout things we did was take a cooking course with Sabine. She invited us into her kitchen to prepare a meal. She explained everything, so even I, whose specialty is boiling water, could understand and participate. Eating with Sabine and her husband, at their home in the middle of a vineyard was truly memorable. I am not doing a great job conveying how great a time we had and how special this was, but it was.Visited October 2022Written December 23, 2022
- Intrepid67explorersSacramento, California13 contributionsThe quintessential Provence experience! This cooking class with Sabine felt like being in the home of a friend, helping prepare a scrumptious lunch and learning new tricks. Sabine puts her guests at ease, and to work, immediately! The result is a flavorful meal in a setting which itself is a postcard of Provence, with exquisite wines produced from the vineyards which surround the house. We have since prepared and served all the attractive and flavorful dishes in our own home, to rave reviews. We are VERY grateful for this opportunity--don't miss it!Visited April 2022Written May 22, 2022
- Joe VHatfield, Massachusetts10 contributionsFabulous class!Wow! Sabine’s classes are spectacular. Don’t get me wrong, she lives in a wonderful, Provençal farmhouse in the middle of a giant vineyard, but the class is simple and complete. We (another couple and us) were so charmed by the whole thing. We made a beautiful hardy lunch and consumed it on her garden table. Enjoyed her own wine, grown right there, and did not want to leave. Touring the beautiful city of Vaison la Romaine after was icing on the cake. If I could give it six stars…I would!Visited May 2022Traveled with familyWritten June 6, 2022
- carole p39 contributionsExperience of a lifetime! Total Provence immersion! After driving over 2 minutes up the scenic driveway (stones) ,we arrived at the most beautiful home surrounded by vineyards. Was worried about finding the home ,but it's easily identified by a swimming pool and " Provence cooking" on google maps. Sabine was very welcoming and organized. She had us participate in the preparation of our meal and after several hours we sat down together on her Veranda drinking her exquisite le Almandine wine and enjoying the delicious meal we prepared. We scheduled this class with our 2 sons(20 and 21)( part of college graduation gift) They are foodies due to growing up with food allergies and they loved the class . I must say this was the most beautiful place we observed during our 3 days in Provence!Visited May 2017Traveled with familyWritten May 29, 2017
- JJWLW93 contributionsGreat class, can't wait to use the recipesAlthough I was the odd man out in a class with several women (including my wife), had a great time in Sabine's class. The instruction was great, the food was fabulous, and the wine from the family's own domain was the perfect complement to a great day.Visited September 2016Traveled as a coupleWritten October 31, 2016

The food was excellent and it was interesting to hear about her family and their wine business. The ingredients we used were so fresh. Food was delicious. The wine we drank was from their vineyards. It was an amazing experience. We even stopped at the Domaine de L’Amandine winery to buy some bottles to drink during the rest of our trip.Visited June 2018Traveled as a coupleWritten June 14, 2018

The class takes place at her house outside Seguret in the middle of vineyards owned by her family. - Kay TDallas, Texas23 contributionsOutstanding Cooking Class Experience in Vaison La RomaineOur party of 4 adults agreed that the evening we spent cooking with Sabine was a trip highlight! Being invited in to her home to prepare a Provencal menu made with local foods was a treat! Sabine was a pleasant instructor. We enjoyed the preparation and the food was delicious! After prep was complete and with dinner, we had wine from the L’Amandine vineyard – run by their family! When it was time to dine, Sabine's husband, Alex, joined us. Dining on home cooked local foods with two delightful local people was an experience we cherish! Thank you, Sabine & Alex! Moreover, Sabine was fantastic during the planning process. She was always quick to respond to my emails and provided helpful information.Visited May 2017Traveled as a coupleWritten May 21, 2017
- MileptPerth, Canada191 contributionsA delightful experienceWhile exploring activities in which to partake during our time in Provence, my husband found some reviews about a cooking class. Maybe there were some ulterior motives, but he pointed me to the website and asked if I’d be interested. I immediately contacted my friend who was going with us to France and we enthusiastically sent off an email to Sabine. She was quick to reply and explained everything we needed to know. There was no question that signing up for this would be a great idea. We were offered a morning or afternoon class and signed up for the morning. We soon learned that two other people would be joining my friend and I (our husbands chose to go hiking). Sabine warmly welcomed us and we got down to business quickly. It was wonderful to be right there in her kitchen. It was like cooking with friends, making a memorable meal together with laughter and kind heartedness. All the instructions were clear and, because we all pitched in, we learned not only what ingredients were needed for the dishes we were preparing but more importantly, the techniques required. We will have muscle memory, not just the cerebral kind. All the ingredients were fresh and as local as could be. Everything was delicious. When our husbands arrived to pick us up, (imagine our surprise that their timing matched ‘time for dessert’) they were invited to sit down and join us. Since we’ve come home, I’ve made several of the dishes that we learned. My husband certainly has benefited from pointing out the sight! Thank you Sabine.Visited September 2016Traveled with friendsWritten October 20, 2016

I contacted Sabine by email from Australia to organise a cooking class for 4 of us while we were in the area in September, in the end we chose to do an evening class which started at 5.30.
From the outset Sabine was a welcoming and gracious host. Her home which is situated high on a hill amongst the vines and olive groves was just stunning. We were joined by another young couple and together we made bread, tomato, courgette and onion tart, fish gratin, spelt rissotto and a pear tart.
We were joined by Sabines husband Alex for dinner, we sat outside to eat which was just divine and shared the food we had cooked along with some beautiful wines from the family winery.
It was so lovely to sit around and chat, it was like having a dinner party with friends and the food was some of the nicest food we had in France.
We would thoroughly recommend Provencal Cooking, it was a real highlight of our month in France

Despite the difficult access to Sabine's home, every single moment we spent with her was delightful. Her home is fantastic and so is her cooking. We enjoyed the recipes and the food. We loved hearing about the wines and the oils. The flavour and the process of making the food was interesting and when we sat down to eat, we were more than impressed. Her husband joined us after his day of work at the Domaine and he sat in his window playing Bach's Cello Suites on classic guitar. How good could life get?
