Well worth the slow drive around bicyclists and hikers to the top of this stunning mountain. Great fun to watch the bicyclists reach the summit to the cheers of family members and their families!

Three friends and I travelled to the area to cycle Mont Ventoux. It’s agreat challenge and after 2 hours in the saddle the view from the top is superb. We cycled up twice over the weekend, once from Malaucene and once from Bedoin. Box ticked!

Mont Ventoux is the highest point between the Alps and the Pyrenees. At 1912 meters (6273 feet) it is a bicycle destination. The road from Malaucene stretches 27 kilometers and you go from 300 meters to the top. The view, weather permitting, is fantastic. While...More

I cycled to the summit from Vaison-la-Romaine via Bédoin. It was a joy. The scenery was fantastic and the views at the top were simply beautiful. En route down I stopped to watch four eagles circling overhead. It was a majestic experience. Weather-wise I couldn't...More

We drove up the steep, unrelenting road from Bédoin and were so happy we did. The scenery is amazing - especially at the top where the desolate rocky landscape prevails - but we were also happy to see so many cyclists - old and young,...More

It is a bit daunting in places but a trip to the top is well worth it. Be wary of worn out cyclists desperately trying to reach the top as well though. If you would like to take to take photos of the scenery I...More

To get the best out if it start the climb from Bédoin. This is the road the Tour de France goes all the way up. Each turn makes the landscape change. From beautiful green to dry rocky grounds as you go up. On the top...More

Did it both by bike and by car - each time humbling in its own way. When I climbed it biking the view at the top was obstructed so I soaked into the achievement of reaching one of the mythical Tour de France climbs. When...More

It’s stunning and mesmeric. And not a little frightening, especially with a thunder and lightening storm brewing. Go slowly and no beat up vehicles. Don’t risk it. Simply majestic with unspeakable hairpin bends. View from top impressive. Daughter said more frightening than exciting, definite butterflies.

Yes there is, there were lots of people doing to same thing along the entire route so you should be ok. There is a large section of the climb in a wooded area too so if it’s hot you can wait in the shade with your supplies... More

I understand there are footpaths to the top.The road from Bedoin is about 23 kilometres so it's a major hike by using the road. There is no way to walk up and cycle down unless you take a bike with you somehow. The bike ride... More
