We like this place for the same reasons many reviewers do. There is actually a little marine park with marked areas you can swim to. (It's not for little chlidren). Most serious snorkellers will bring their booties I would recommend neoprene shoes or sailing booties as the entrance to the water is really stony and a pain to enter ,as... More

A beach slightly of the beaten track and hence quieter than most. Not sandy but with great views back to the coast to the North and the mountains in the background beyond. Beware that the even smaller adjacent beach to the East (reached via another rocky footpath) is used by naturists and so anyone uncomfortable with seeing too much flesh... More

THIS RESTAURANT HAS CLOSED DOWN We telephoned and got a message machine that wouldn't take messages so we went anyway. We arrived to find the ex owner on the premises with the local sewage truck hosing out the plumbing. It had closed on 8th September. We were there 26th September

This was our first visit to the South of France and although prepared for smaller, crowded, rocky beaches we were still disappointed. We were amazed on our first beach trip just around the corner from here to find it was a layer of sand over concrete! However, finding Le Plage De L'Aguille was a relief. I can't stress enough that... More

This is a great little hidden "secret" way out on the end of the Esterel. A bit hard to get to, but so worth it, particularly in the summertime when the Cote is packed with tourists. We go either by boat or walking out for the full day, reserving for lunch on the weekend. Yummy fresh seafood/other grilled à la... More

is how my son refers to this (our favourite) beach with its charming, friendly and good restaurant. Have been regular August visitors now for 5 years and it is as lovely as ever. Join the owner for a post lunch beer in les Rochester roses!

Few South of France beaches have the magical character of the Theoule-sur-Mer main beach, culminating in the rocky crags of the Pointe de l'Aiguille. The nearest road is high above the beach, the local railway line out of sight and sound as it dives inland through a series of tunnels. After the sandy main beach, with its underwater nature trail,... More

The Theoule beach is different . the high red rocks reach the sea and at the end of a long pleasing walk you reach "paradise" . You just want to sit , listen and watching the sea banging on the rocks that are standing there like statutes made and put there by god !!!

Never been to the South of France before so didn't quite know what to expect but this beach was absolutely gorgeous. We spent a day sitting in the sunshine looking at the most beautiful views of the sea AND the snow capped alps with a backdrop just as beautiful, absolutely charming. We had lunch right on the edge of the... More
