Beautiful view on the beaches of Pampelonne
Aug 2020
It's a bit of a drive through a winding road but the view on the back of saint-tropez with its beautiful beaches of Pampelonne makes it worth it.

excellent views from the top, nice swimming at the bottom of the cliffs
Aug 2019
you can drive your car up to the lighthouse and park there. Parking is free. The lighthouse itself can not be visited and is fenced. From the parking next to the lighthouse there are several paths. One is going to a panoramic viewpoint nearby (as in not more than 100 metres from the parking) fro where you have a great view over the beaches of Pampelonne and Bonne Terasse.
Another path is leading down to the foot of the cliffs. It is a rough path, but very well doable with young children of let's say seven or eight. No strollers or high heels, and take some water with you. Down at the sea, there is no beach. Only rocks. Some of them are more or less flat and suiteable to use to come out of the water once you have jumped in. We swam to the island in front of the cliff and got out of the water there. Very nice.
To return to the car, we did not take the exact same way as we came, but continued in the direction towards Bonne Terasse, and at a certain moment took a left and went steep uphill back towards the lighthouse. you need a map or a gps or something, because the tracks are not really well maintained and absolutely not marked. they are however worth the walk.
After all, you can't spend your entire holiday being lazy at a sandy beach.

Worth a visit if you like a bit of adventure. Magnificent hike along the coastline with stunning views. Wear good shoes! Excellent but challenging in the heat!

Wow, an incredible walk up and down the rocks
Jun 2017 • Couples
What a great walk up the coastal path which stretches for miles on the cliffs around the Cap Camarat. Highly recommended. Don't be scared of naturists, undress and immerse yourself in the wild...

Walking the littoral is such a wonderful experience ! Each month from April to October will show you a different variety of butterflies and flowers .The heathers ,cacti with beautiful blooms are amazing ! The poppies in May cannot be described ,they have to be seen .the lighthouse is hidden and suddenly appears ! Views from inside the lighthouse across the sea are incredible .

THE MOST HIDDEN BEAUTIFUL BEACH NEAR SAINT TROPEZ
Sep 2016 • Couples
This tiny , hidden away , rustic beach is more accessible by sea than it is by land. It is one of the most beautiful swimming areas in the region, with a gorgeous sandy beach and crystal green waters. It is a haven for mega yachts to dock close to the beach and then swim around and have lunch on board the yachts. The water is so clear and so clean, you can see the bottom!
I have only been by boat, but I know friends that go by car, and park quite far away and then hike to the beach. It is really wild, with wood lying on the beaches, but it is private, and during the week you can have almost a private beach in June and September. But July and August are very busy, especially on weekends. One of the most hidden secrets and beautiful beaches in the South of France.

A nice hike to private rocky outcrop
Sep 2016 • Couples
We parked next to the lighthouse and after taking in the great panoramic views from there, headed down the hiking trail. I managed to do it in flip flops, so it isn't a strenuous hike. We took our beach towels and descended towards the water. Eventually, after some gorgeous view points, we climbed down to the rocky outcrop to the sea (this was a little more challenging) and spent some time exploring. I'd recommend you take a hat and water, it gets very hot!
