Thanks to the crew of eden dive for a wonderful dive offshore at La Ciotat. The whole team is really friendly and helpful. The boat well maintained and the equipment in good shape. As well the dive site „Grand moure“ is a beautiful place to dive. I was impressed by the sealifife and yes we had great visibility. Thanks for the wonderful morning with Eden Dive ! We will come back.

There is some great diving very close to La Ciotat with lots of reefs around the Isle Vert and nearby 'calanques' steep sided coves. This dive centre is in the old port, facing the quay where their boats are moored. Equipment is new and in great condition, very well maintained. They typically do two trips a day, one at 9:30am and the second at 2pm. All the instructors are very knowledgable about the sea life you'll encounter and are friendly and helpful. There is a great variety of fish and very interesting range of invertebrates. English is very limited but they are very patient with anglophones speaking limited French. The following may be helpful... They operate under the FFESSM System which has the following PADI equivalents. Level 1 (niveau 1) allows you to dive to 20m. You'll need OW for this level. Level 2 qualifies you to dive to 40m. You'll need Advanced OW + Deep Diver Specialty. You'll definitely need to show your cards and your logbook. They accommodate 'Autonomes' - self guided groups 'Encadres' - diving with an instructor or guide. There may be more than one group of these depending on levels of experience. They are very good with newly qualified divers as well as more experienced. This is my own favoured way. 'Baptemes' - first dive All three go out on the dive boat. Some vocabulary: Combinaison - wetsuit Gilet - BCD Ceinture - belt Poids - weights Detendeur- Regulator Highly recommended outfit - I like them a lot.
