Visited this museum for the first time yesterday. Excellent exhibits and a very light and airy environment. Although there were a number of audio-visual pieces I still felt much more could be done on the digital front. A very moving film but with french audio only. Many "clean and static" exhibits but overall I left with a sense that the... More

The Otto Dix exhibit is the most moving and disturbing exhibit I have ever see relating the first world war. A must see if you are in Peronne.

The museum is in a small castle in the centre of this attractive small town. It's packed full of exhibits: a lot to read so more suitable for older children, but also displays of uniforms and some weapons. We got round the whole museum in just over an hour but we could have spent longer if we had read everything.... More

Having read the reviews I expected more from this museum. We were disappointed. Not very big and not much detail about the Great War.

We came here with high expectations having read previous reviews. We found the museum completely unengaging. Rooms were flanked by bored museum staff reading books. Nothing interactive to interest children. How anyone could make such an interesting and emotional subject so mundane was unbelievable. We decided to get out quickly ,and then drove on and spent an amazing afternoon at... More

Beautiful museum is the Town of Peronne. Easy to park, even on market day. Staff, friendly and helpful -speak English and made sure we didn't miss out on anything. Everything in French English and German. Can get up really close to artefacts. Kids enjoyed it. Beautiful building. Lovely cafe and gift shop.

If you are in the area for WW1 experience then this museum is a must. It is housed in a modern building behind the chateau in the town centre with parking available in the square in front. An easy to understand progression of the war with lots of interesting and extremely relevant displays. I've got to say that the French... More

it is a great place to visit. It is a multi-national approach to interpreting the First World War - if a touch over interpreted! I didn't get until much later the symbolism of the uniforms laid out below the the level of the floor. There is a great little museum shop selling interesting books and assorted souveniers. As well a... More
