Beautiful, large cathedral in this small town.

Rivals Notre Dame in Paris. So beautiful and the artwork and architecture is beyond compare. A must see.

If you have a few hours to stay in Beauvais, you definitely should take a tourist bus (I think the price for the ticket is only 1 euro or two). The cathedral is a gothic paradise for who love arquitecture building like me. The astronomic clock is unique in the world.

Beautiful cathedral in a not-too-touristy town. Stain glass windows are worth the trip. Lots of lovely cafes around the cathedral. Perfect for a sunny afternoon of sight seeing and a cold drink in a cafe.

Very impressive cathedral. The cathedral is currently being renovated, and a small section inside was blocked off, while they were working on the floor. Even so, it's still worth a visit. The golden clock is beautiful and the stained glass windows a kaleidoscope of colors

Beauvais Cathedral should have been one of the greatest Gothic Cathedrals ever build. But there are limits to what you can achieve without proper support. The roof of the chancel collapsed twice. Lack of funds and some more building disasters left us with the remains we see today. And they look magnificent. A beautiful high ceiling and high windows with... More

Went to Beauvais to visit the cathedral. Parking a little tricky in town, most of the car parks only allow 2 hours parking - we parked a little way out (for free) and managed to walk in. Cathredral undergoing some work at present, which was a shame. Beautiful stain glass, no access to central section due to security worries. Lots... More

This is the tallest nave in Europe and used to be, until the 19th century, the tallest building in the world until the spire fell down. Worth the detour. The local museum has a Celtic bronze warrior and a spectacular timber roof structure.

We had visited Notre Dame from Paris two days before and Beauvais cathedral was an absolute surprise for us. It was great to see the stained windows as well as the building of the cathedral as the centuries went by. The summer evening show in the main façade is not to miss. In 2016, celebrated on Thursday, Friday and Saturday... More

At first didnt think could go right to the back but follow round to the right and all of the windows can be viewed. The high arch vaulted ceiling is worth a gander.

What a building! The scale blew me away. We had just been to Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame and this was the most impressive by far. I had never seen such a high building. Take the tour of the clock - absolutely mind blowing
