We wanted to visit this sight and didnt know that you had to prebook tickets. When I walked in, the gentleman at the desk shot me a disgusted look as if I was an unwanted intruder rather than a potentially paying visitor. Instead of telling me „sorry, please book a ticket online“ he just said „No, no tickets“ and signaled me to leave the room. Not a way how to handle tourists that you ultimately depend on. I fully understand that tickets have to be booked, so this is not the issue. Sometimes it is just a smile and a polite interaction that makes the difference between a good and a bad impression.

Very interesting place with a lot of his works exposed, a dive into his " universe " through his house, books, furniture. Worth the visit !

It's worth a visit for the house alone. It's gorgeous. I wasn't particularly interested in Jules Verne, but obviously everyone knows a few of his novels. We got an audio guide for an extra fee, but some of it went on a bit! Unfortunately you probably need it as it does give you a bit of context. Worth a detour if you're in Amiens, it'll only take a couple of hours of your time.

Great opportunity to visit a rich mans house and see it as it may have been aoo years ago. Add to that an excellent insight into the life of Jules Verne and it is a must see in Amiens. Staff were helpful lending an English guide book to the house and exhibits.

Took my elderly mother to visit house- great staff. Had a wheelchair available and all floors accessible by lift with caring attentive staff. Interesting displays, bit quirky but learn a lot. Jules Verne a profligate writer. Recommend a visit allow 90 minutes.
