The only regret is that there is not more meetings taking place at the Pornichet Hippodrome. Place is nice, it hosts also evening events, that are the best time of the day with fresh air and a nice breeze to enjoy the show after spending the day on the beach or on the water. Here are some major races from time to time.

We went there when they did a night meeting. The evening started at 7 pm and ended around 11 pm. It was the first time we went to see horse races and it was really entertaining ! The vibes are unbelievable, the ambiance is effervescent. We had a really great time. Food is available if needed and is pretty good. The ticket is free for people under 20 y.o.

The hippodrome is located within easy walking distance of the centre of Pornichet or if driving there is a large car park right beside the track. We were there on Bastille Day and the atmosphere was buzzing despite a chilling breeze in the sunshine. The racing was exceptionally were organized and one had little time to move from watching the races to the parade ring to the betting office and back for the next race. The jockeys were colourful and the horses were turned out well groomed. Unfortunately this was one day when betting on Irish bred horses did not pay off!!!
