Our group celebrated a Mass in this church. It was hard to concentrate on the Mass with all the old statues and artifacts around to look at. We were there in Oct., so much less of a crowd, but enough people. It was worth the visit to be sure.

The small church is interesting and worth a little visit. I do think it should be visited when there are very few tourists. Early morning and late afternoon are the best — when most tourist busses are not at Mont Saint Michel. May is also an excellent month to visit - very few tourists in general. …

As you work you way through town either up to or back from the abbey, take a few moments and step inside St. Peter's Church---you will know it by the Statue of Joan of Arc outside. We were there during the perfect time in the early afternoon---the sun made their stained glass windows sparkle with color. The Silver Statue of Saint Michel is certainly worth seeing and as you leave, be sure to take note of the prayer desk---it was carved by prisoners when the abbey was used as a prison.
