A Quick Stop on Your Visit
Jul 2019 • Couples
This is a nice place to stop, take a break and enjoy the history and view. It affords a picturesque view of the tide and beaches around Mont St Michel. Notice the stone masonry and the strategic position of this tower. It's a place for a bit of quiet reflection as well since it's a bit of a way from the crowds.

the most recognizable tower in Mont-Saint-Michel
Aug 2018 • Family
Tour Gabriel is one of the some towers located in Mont-Saint-Michel, in Normandy, in the North of France. In fact, when you enter to the place, you can see it at left. It is very beautiful and round.

You get a good view here

This is one of the numerous towers of Mont St Michel, but still worth a visit. Also take some time to look up the history of it, when and why it was built.

back door entrance
May 2018 • Friends
This tower seems to have been the stronghold at the end of the battlements. I walked past initially to find the small chapel around the back of the island. Cool to look at, it also has a ramp that leads down to the water. You can climb up some rocks to the ramp and suddenly you have a back door into the island itself, bypassing the throng on the main commercialized Grand Rue.

NAMED FOR GABRIEL DE PUY
Mar 2018 • Couples
One of numerous towers on Mont-Saint-Michel, located to the left of the main entrance, it was built in 1524 as part of the defense for the storerooms. It later had a windmill installed and even later still, a beacon to help navigate the Couresnon River.

Nice outpost
Nov 2016 • Couples
It's a nice tower, part of walls surrounding mont saint Michel. Picture perfect, but not much to do apart from taking few photos and going someplace else.

A Good View
Jun 2015 • Friends
Well worth the visit and the effort getting to this site. On a clear day the views are excellent, especially when the tide's out.

Nice Views Along Fortified Wall
Jul 2015 • Couples
As you stroll the fortified wall there are a series of tours worth exploring. They are best for picturesque seascapes and landscapes beyond.

Quick pit stop
Oct 2015 • Solo
This is a nice quick pit stop. Nice view of the tide and space around this mount. Apart from that, there is nothing else to do when the ground is mushy. Enjoy the stone masonry. This spot isn't that popular but if you want a quiet escape from the crowd, it might serve your purpose.
